"Why are you sleeping ?" Teja yelled at Karan as she entered his room.

"Why do people sleep love ?" Karan said and adjusted himself on the bed to sleep more comfortably.

Teja was fully prepared to scold Karan as soon as she saw him sleeping but his unexpected endearment left her off guard.

She just walked in and sat near him .

After taking a few seconds to compose herself she said, "Karan you can sleep after having your dinner."

He hummed.

"I know you are tired, but ..." Karan didn't let Teja complete her sentence and pulled her by her waist to make her lay beside him.

The sudden proximity made Teja's heartbeat and breathing faster. Karan felt it as he held her by her waist.

Karan smirked , and to tease his already flustered girlfriend he got closer to her face blew air from his mouth near her ear , to her neck and back to her ear.

Teja sighed trying to release the tension she was feeling and held Karan's hand which was caressing her waist.

His smirk got wider and soon turned into a smile.

He loved to see her shy , she looked cute.

He slowly whispered in her ears, "Doctor, what's wrong. You are breathing heavily."

Teja's breath stopped at his words.

She slowly turned to see him only to find a teasing glint on his face.

She shoved his hand away and quickly got up from the bed.

"You .."she said with annoyance.

Karan too sat straight on the bed, with a smile which was not ready to leave his face.

"You were intentionally teasing me." She said pointing a finger towards him.

Karan just shrugged.

"You will not like it when I start the teasing. "

Karan stood up and walked closer to her. He bent  a little to again whisper in her ears.
"I'm telling you, I would love it. "

He moved back and said with a smirk "But I don't think you can do it" and walked out of the room.

Teja followed him down to the dinning table.

She was a little angry but the smell of the delicious food served on the table made it disappear.

They had their dinner after which Karan introduced her to the caretakers and the cook.

"He is Jos" Karan said as he introduced the person who greeted them earlier "and he is Ravi" he said introducing the person who helped them with the luggage.

"And she is the best cook in this world, Laxmi aunty. I swear I have tried food from the best restaurants too , but nothing beats her."

"I definitely believe you. This was literally the best meal I ever had. You are truly blessed aunty. Thank you for cooking for us." Teja said.

"Oh you are embarassing me now. You all are like children, I'm so happy that you liked the food." Laxmi aunty said happily.

"So son, you are going to Shree padmanabhaswamy temple tomorrow na." She asked.

"Yes aunty, we will go tomorrow. Jos , Ravi can you do the arrangements."

"Ofcourse sir." Jos replied.

"And we also need the traditional clothes, dhoti and a saree." Teja said.

"Don't worry Tejasswi, I will bring them for you." Laxmi aunty said. "Okay then , we will leave. See you tomorrow. "

Ravi and Laxmi aunty left while Jos stayed back.

"Did I mention that Ravi is Laxmi aunty's son." Karan asked Teja as they moved towards their room.

"No. And what about Jos, isn't he going his home. "

"This is his home.
His parents died when he was twenty. They had a few loans to pay, so he had to sell this house. He had no other place to go and we bought this house only as a holiday house so we thought to keep him here as a caretaker.
Now you tell me, who else could have looked out after this house better than him. "

They reached Karan's room and Teja sat on his bed resting her back on the headboard.

"I could have never imagined that. He looked so professional. "

"He did hotel management and works in other hotels when we are not here. He used to call me Karan Anna earlier and he is truly like a younger brother to me."

"Then why the shift from Anna to Sir." Teja asked curiously.

"I guess he grew up, that's why." He said with a shrug and a hint of sadness in his eyes .  "Ravi calls me Anna though" he added.

Teja didn't ask anything further.

Karan switched on the TV and started searching for something to watch.

"Weren't you sleepy and hour ago."

"Yes I was. But I'm not now. Are you sleepy ?"

"Yes I am. "

"Then sleep." He pulled a duvet over her and said "you can sleep here. "

Karan knew how Teja would react so again he intentionally teased her.

When Teja rolled her eyes at him and pushed the duvet away Karan again pulled it over her , getting closer to her face he said, "Are you scared that you won't be able to control if you sleep here. "

After once again seeing her all flustered by his words he moved back to his place , a few centimetres beside her on the bed.

He stared his search for a movie to watch again when he saw Teja moving closer to him.

She bent over a little so that there faces were just an inch apart.

She said in a low voice, "What about you love , can you control. "

She turned a little to get closer to his ear, "Because you are right I won't be able to control.  "

She smiled and kissed him near his lips and got off the bed.

Karan was shocked. He sat still on the bed not able to believe what happened.

He knew Teja as a shy person. Yes she was strong and really confident but he never thought that she could actually flirt.
That department was as he thought was just reserved for him.

He looked at her as she moved towards the door.

Teja stopped her steps as she was about to go out. She turned and said, "Next time, think twice before challenging me . Good night." And went out of the room.
