"We will always be close "He said and abridged the distance between them. Their faces so close that they could easily feel each others breath.

He leaned in a little more to close the distance between them, their lips to be precise , when a horn startled them and they moved away instantly.

It was Ruturaj sitting on the drivers seat with a smirk telling that he loved doing what he did. Beside him sat his wife apologetic of her husband's action.

"Bastard !" Karan scowled.

"You should rather thank me you freak. What if someone else saw you like this. You should have chosen a better place. "

"Whatever" Karan shrugged.

He then moved towards Teja and took her in a tight hug and then gently kissed her temple.

"Take care" he whispered to her and Teja just hummed in response.

"Bye" he said.

"Bye" she finally said "and you know the drill , a message before boarding and a call after you land and reach home. Take care."

He nodded and then got in the car and within seconds he was out of Teja's sight.

"I Love You ( heart emoticon)" Teja's phone pinged with his message as she was heading towards her home.

"I Love You More ( heart emoticon)" she replied back and entered her house with the spare keys she had.
Smiling ear to ear , cheeks tinted pink she walked towards her room.

"Stop" she heard. It was her brother.
She stopped but didn't turn back to look at him.
Though she somewhere understood why her brother behaved the way he did, still she was angry.

"We need to talk." He said.

"I don't want to." She replied back coldly .

"Why ?"

"Oh don't act so naive Bhai. You were so rude to my friend today. What did he even do to get such treatment from you."

"He behaved like a creep. Kept on staring at you and smiled at everything you said or did.
He behaved as if he was your boyfriend ."

"What!" Teja exclaimed. There was no way her brother sensed it in such a short time .

"Yes." He said "Also I might regret my behaviour if he is actually your boyfriend and if not then I don't regret it one bit."

"He is .....my boyfriend" Teja stammered a little.

"Then why did you not introduce him to us as one." He glared at her .

She was intimidated, yet she gathered all her courage and told him everything .
"How can I, when I myself have not adjusted to it completely. We literally started dating yesterday. He has been my friend for eight months and it was yesterday when we decided that we wanted to be in a relationship. He was leaving today evening and I didn't want him to leave without meeting you guys." She finally stopped and took a long breath .

Tarun stood there for a minute and then went to his room without asking anything further.

"Reached the airport" Teja's phone pinged with karan's message .

"Bhai knows that we are dating" she replied back.

"How ? Who told him that (horrified face emoticon)"

"Who else... I told him."

"Why.."

"Cause he asked. "

"Ohh...okay.
Now what is he fine with it ,  or is he on his way to the airport to 'k' word me."

"Kiss you ???" Teja laughed at her own reply.

"Very funny....
But seriously is he fine with it. Did he think of me good enough to be your boyfriend."

Teja smiled reading this message. Though she didn't knew what her brother thought of him , but she very well knew that he was everything and more she could have ever asked for.

"Idk....he said nothing.
Btw , why are you so scared of him."

"I'm not scared of him, I am scared of losing you."

"And why do you think that you will ever lose me ."

"You will never go against your family" he replied back after a while.

There was silence for the next minute and then Teja calmly replied back, "and my family will never go against my happiness. My brother will soon realise that you make me happy, you are my happiness . That means he will never go against you ...he will never go against US. You trust me right."

"More than anyone in this world."

Her eyes swelled up with tears. She thanked God that none of this conversation took place on face because if it would have, she would be a crying mess by now. This feeling was too overwhelming.

She wiped down the lone tear and replied "okay that's a lot for today. Now go and board the flight."

"Yeah, bye" he replied back.

In the room next to hers sat a stressed Tarun staring at no one in particular, lost in his deep thoughts.

Niti saw it for long and then finally decided to break her husband's daze.
She pulled him from the armchair and made him sit on their bed and herself sat beside him.

"Tell me , who got my husband so stressed." She asked slightly ruffling his hair .

"That cricketer" he scowled.

"Are you talking about Karan."

"Yes. You guessed it so right. Tell me even you didn't like him ."

"No , I don't think he did anything that would make me to not like him. Rather he has quite a charming personality.
But you my dear husband throughout the dinner made it quite clear that you didn't like him. Can I know the reason why."

"He is dating my sister."

"Who ?" She asked perplexed.

"How many sisters do I even have Niti. "

"One. And he is dating her, you mean he is dating Teju. That means that even Teju is dating him." She said happily as if this was the best news she ever heard.

"I never saw you this happy , not even at our wedding." Tarun said.

"They are in a relationship" Niti said almost shouting and jumped out of the bed and ran towards the bedroom door.

"Where are you going? "

"Teja's room, I need to congratulate her."

"Why are you so happy" he snapped. He was angry and seeing niti behave that way to the news irritated him more.

"Calm down Tarun. "

"I am calm , it's you who is over excited and for all the wrong reasons."

"What wrong reasons.
Teju, your sister is in love. Is it not an amazing news."

"With a person I know nothing about. Yeah a very amazing news indeed."

"So try to know him" she said "and most importantly trust her . Your sister is one of the wisest people I know. If she took such a big decision she must have thought a lot about it."

"You don't..."

"No , that's it for now . I'm going to talk to her. Bye" Niti said and ran out of the room.

It felt like meeting my long lost friends after reading those comments.

And about the story, I am not sure how to take this forward, so I will really appreciate some suggestions.
