Closing the front door of their house, Lisa found Jennie in their living room sifting through book of invitation templates while her mother pointed out which ones she favor on each page. Their wedding was now going to be on August 8, and while it pleased Jennie's mom immensely that they were going to shorten their engagement, it also sent her into a bit of a planning tizzy.
"Lisa dear!" Mama Kim exclaimed. "You're back early."
"It was a short meeting." Lisa replied as she took off her shoes and kissed Jennie. "Bambam may come by later...if that's alright?"
Jennie looked at her. "Why are you asking if it's okay if you've already told him he can come by?"
She had a point. Shrugging her shoulders, Lisa draped her arm over the back of the couch and caressed Jennie's neck. "I just..."
"It's fine babe." Jennie said, stifling a laugh.
"He's pretty harmless." Lisa replied. "Though he mentioned something about you looking hot, so you know, don't stand too close too him." Jennie and her mom broke out into giggles and Lisa wasn't amused. "I'm being completely serious."
Mama Kim stood up, gracefully walking towards her in her burgundy suit, placing her hands on her cheeks. "That's what's so funny dear."
Lisa scowled, pulling back her arm and crossing it againt her chest. "It really isn't funny."
Jennie rolled her eyes, shutting the book of invitation samples. "It really is." She looked at her mom and smiled. "Just pick an invitation," she said with a laugh. "I trust you."
Mama Kim frowned. "Have you atleast decided on colors?"
"I think aything fall will look lovely. Burnt oranges, deep greens, dark reds...I think they'd be really pretty, don't you?"
"I think they sound darling. Finally, something to go with." Mama Kim replied.
Jennie laughed, standing to her feet. She handed her mom the invitation book and smiled. "I just want to get married. As long as Lisa's at the other end of the aisle with a minister - I'm good."
Mama Kim smiled. "Sounds reasonable enough. Lisa?"
Lisa playfully pulled at Jennie's arm. "I'm sure I could be persuaded to stand at the end of the aisle."
Jennie rolled her eyes as she walked closer towards Lisa. "Persuaded?" Grabbing Lisa's shirt, she pulled on it slightly as Lisa smirked at her. "Need I remind you that it was you who asked me to marry you."
"I'm all for reminders." Lisa teased, wrapping her arms around Jennie's waist.
"You're so annoying." Jennie sighed, playfully shoving her away as she attemtped to kiss her neck. "My mother is still here Lisa."
Mama Kim hardly contained her snort, collecting her wedding planning materials. "Yes, please Lisa, listen to your fiancé."
Laughing, Lisa looked up at her and grinned. "Sorry mother."
Mama Kim waved a dismissive hand at her, a glint in her eyes. "You're not sorry one bit. Jennie dear. Find out what day works best for Jisoo next week and we'll go dress shopping."
Jennie squirmed around Lisa's grasp, her back to her as her arms stayed wrapped around her. "Sounds great mom. I'll call you with her answer."
Mama Kim approached them and kissed them both on the cheek. "Tell Bam I said hi." She instructed them both before heading to the front door.
As Lisa let go of Jennie, she began to straighten up the living room, much to Lisa's amusement. "What?" She asked, folding up a blanket Eun-woo was using earlier for his nap before Jisoo and Rosé picked him up to take him to the park. "Why are you staring as if I've lost my mind?"
