In the past two months, Lisa was pretty convinced she'd manage to try on every wedding dress in all of Los Angeles and was not impressed in the slightest. At first she didn't want to get too carried away with the price. Not that money was any problem, but she felt it silly to spend a ridiculous amount of money on a dress she'd only wear for a few hours. But after not finding anything she considered remotely reasonable in the price, she threw caution in the wind and tried on anything and everything from haute couture to just plain impractical to walk in, let alone get married in. While it earned her a few nods with Rosé and Alison, she just didn't get the feeling she was supposed to get. Alison said that she would just know - she would look at herself in the mirror and just know that the dress she was wearing was the dress. But everytime she was zipped up in another piece of fabric - ivory, white, satin or lace - she just stood there in front of the mirror, completely indifferent.
It was another Saturday morning and Lisa mentally groaned as she slapped a hand on her phone before the offensive blaring alarm startled Jennie. The thought of going to another bridal shop made her ill. At one point, Jennie asked her why she didn't just have someone make the dress for her. A novel idea, except for the fact that she had no idea what she wanted. A dressmaker would just be as lost as she was on what to create. Everything else has been finalized - the guest list, the colors, the venue, hell they already booked their flight to New Zealand - Jennie's mom had it all taken care of. The wedding party was for the most part chosen, suits for the men and dresses for the women were being tailored. Jennie's dress was found within the second week of what had turned into an agonizing search for the perfect dress.
Rolling over, she looked at Jennie, still asleep. She would never get over how peaceful she looked in her sleep, she looked almost childlike. She was nestled into the warm covers on her side, an arm slipped under the pillow she was using, her other arm resting outside of the covers. She nuzzled up close to her, inhaling her familiar scent as her arms moved to wrap around her.
"Goodmorning." She heard Jennie murmur.
"Sorry," she whispered, stroking a soft hand through her hair. "I wasn't trying to wake you."
"You can always wake me like that," Jennie responded, pulling her closer. With her eyes still closed, her lips found a bare skin that her nightdress didn't cover. "You should call Rosé," she whispered. "Cancel shopping...stay in bed all day."
Lisa hummed in agreement in her ear, resting her chin on Jennie's shoulder. "Tempting...but I have to find a dress."
"Go naked." She suggested, her lips moving to her neck.
"Interesting thought, but if I'm naked, we can't invite anyone."
"I'm okay with that." She replied. "One hundred invites for a wedding is ludicrous."
Lisa could definitely get behind that. She nearly told Jennie's mom she was out of her mind when she heard the number of invitations, but when Mama Kim said that it was the number she came up with after going through and tossing out the non-essentials - and that number was closer to three hundred. Jisoo of course, was shocked it wasn't bigger. You're practically royalty, she told her at lunch several weeks ago. At least her mom got it down to one hundred. If it was all up to her I'm sure there would be more. All of Korea's biggest media company and probably Chaebols. I know you would love that.
Jennie scissored her legs between Lisa, wrapping a leg up around her waist as her pajamas found themselves discarded. Lisa gasped as Jennie's hands found their way up her nightdress, caressing her ass. "I have to find a dress."
Jennie moved her mouth to her collarbone. "Right...this...minute?" She asked in between kisses, her fingers teasing Lisa's damp folds.
Lisa pulled herself closer to her as she bucked her hips, Jennie's finger sliding into her as she let her eyes roll to the back of her head. Instead of thrusting, Jennie pressed her hands into Lisa's back, keeping them on their sides as the two moved their hips in sync with each other, generating friction as they latched onto each other with their lips, speaking between each kiss. "I guess...I could get...a late start."
