☆Irritation☆

Jake was driving with Johnnie in the car, on the way back home. It started with them bickering at the party, but now they're starting to fight.

Johnnie rolled his eyes, crossing his arms as he looked out the window. He was annoyed with Jake's constant bickering.
"Can you just shut up for five minutes? I'm tired of listening to you complain."

"You're the one that started it." Jake grumbled. Shaking his head.

Johnnie chuckled, turning to look at Jake.
"And you're the one who can't handle a little bit of teasing. You're too sensitive, Jake."

"I'm sensitive?!" Jake shakes his head. "Whatever dude, i don't want you to talk to me right now." He sounded pissed.

Johnnie raised an eyebrow, his expression becoming smug.
"Aww, did I hurt your feelings? You know I'm just messing with you, right?"
He leaned back in his seat, a sly grin on his face.

"Messing with.." Jake trailed off, keeping his eyes on the road. "You fucking embarrassed me in a crowd of people at that party!"

Johnnie laughed, enjoying Jake's frustration."Oh, come on, it was just a little harmless teasing. You didn't need to make such a big deal out of it. You're overreacting."

Jake doesnt respond, He actually looked genuinely upset. Just keeping his eyes on on the road as he stops at a red light.

Johnnie's expression softened as he noticed the look on Jake's face. He hadn't expected his teasing to have such a big impact on his friend. He let out a sigh and spoke up, his voice softer this time.

"Hey, man, I'm sorry if I really upset you. I didn't mean to go too far. I was just trying to have some fun, you know?"The emo says.

"It's fine, just some of the jokes went a bit too far." Jake replied. "Besides, the party was a bit overwhelming tonight."

Johnnie nodded, understanding. "Yeah, I get it. Sometimes parties can be a bit much. And I can get carried away with my jokes. I'll try to be more mindful of that in the future." Johnnie paused for a moment before continuing. "Are we cool, then?"

"Yeah." Jake nods his head, starting the car again as he drives down the road. "I was a bit overstimulated there, so i just been irritable right now."

Johnnie smiled, relieved that things were back to normal between them."I get it. Overstimulation can be a bitch. But I'm glad we're good. I don't want to fight with you, man."

"I don't either, i'm sorry." Jake replied as he turns the wheel, driving. He still looked irritated.

Johnnie could sense that Jake was still a bit upset, but he decided to drop the subject for now. He leaned back in his seat, scrolling through his phone as they continued the drive home.

Once they arrived home, Jake parks the car. He gets out and went inside of his room, he needed some space to decompress.

Johnnie watches as Jake heads into his room. He feels a pang of guilt in his chest, but he decides to give him some space. He heads to his own room, feeling a bit restless. He flops down on his bed, scrolling through social media to distract himself.

After about an hour or so, Jake comes out of his room. He walks over to Johnnie's door and knocks on it.

Johnnie is surprised to hear the knock on his door. He sets his phone down and gets up to open it.

"Yeah, come in."

Jake turned the knob and entered. "Hey, man. Sorry again about earlier. I just been so irritated recently."

Johnnie nods, understanding.
"It's okay, dude. I get it. And I'm sorry too. I shouldn't have pushed your buttons like that." He motions for Jake to sit down on the bed.

Jake followed and sits down on the bed. He ran a hand through his hair as he started to vent. "I just been irritable recently because like – everything i do is like screwing up and i honestly didn't feel like going to that damn party."

Johnnie listened intently as Jake spoke, nodding along.

"I get that, man. Sometimes things just don't go the way we want them to. And it's easy to feel like everything is going wrong. But I think you need to give yourself some credit. You're not screwing up all the time. And it's okay to feel overwhelmed or frustrated. But you can't let it consume you, you know?" The emo says.

"Yeah, yeah." Jake nods, he leans over and kisses Johnnie's cheek. "Thanks, Johnnie." He muttered as he left the room.

Johnnie is taken aback by the kiss on the cheek, his face flushing slightly. He watches as Jake leaves the room, feeling a mix of surprise and affection.

"No problem, man. I'm here for you whenever you need me."

The door shuts.
