Johnnie has been isolating himself in his room more than usual. At the moment he's been not sleeping, less eating, and hardly moving.

Jake had been noticing Johnnie’s strange behavior for the past few days. He had grown concerned about his boyfriend and was worried about his well-being.

He knew he needed to do something to help Johnnie. He gently knocked on the door of Johnnie’s room. “Hey, can I come in?”

Johnnie heard the door knock. Which caused him to roll over and glance at the door. "..Babe?" He grunts softly. He sighed, "Yeah."

Jake’s heart skipped a beat at the sound of Johnnie’s voice. He slowly opened the door and stepped inside the room, seeing Johnnie lying in bed.

“Hey..” Jake said softly, sitting down on the edge of the bed. “I was worried about you. You’ve been in here all day. Are you okay?”

Johnnie lays his head onto Jake's thigh. He still hasn't moved out of bed. He has barely any makeup left on his eyelids. Dark circles underneath them, and puffy and red.

Jake gently ran his fingers through Johnnie’s hair, feeling how messy it was. He could see the exhaustion in Johnnie’s eyes and the lack of makeup on his face. “You look exhausted, baby..” he said quietly. “Have you been sleeping? Or eating?”

Johnnie shakes his head, 'No.' as he lifts a hand, drawing imaginary shapes on Jake's knee.

Jake’s heart ached as he watched Johnnie shake his head. He knew that Johnnie was going through a rough time, but he hadn’t realized how bad it had gotten. “Why haven’t you been sleeping? Or eating?” he asked, gently taking Johnnie’s hand in his.

Johnnie laced their hands together. "Just been tired." He responded, and Jake knew exactly what he meant by, 'tired'.

Depression.

Jake knew that Johnnie was lying, but he didn’t want to push him. He squeezed Johnnie’s hand gently, rubbing his thumb over his knuckles. “You’re not just tired, are you?” he said softly. “You’re depressed.”

There was a pause, before Johnnie nodded his head. Keeping his head onto Jake's thigh.

Jake felt a wave of sadness wash over him as Johnnie nodded his head. He knew that depression was a serious issue and that it could affect a person’s mental health in a negative way.

“Oh, baby…” he said quietly, his hand still stroking Johnnie’s hair. “Why didn’t you tell me sooner? I could have helped you.”

Johnnie watches as his emo hair gets messed with. Some strands falling into different places. "I didn't want to be a bother." He replied softly, looking now towards his bedroom wall.

“You could never be a bother to me, Johnnie.” Jake said firmly, gently tilting Johnnie’s head up to look at him. “I care about you, and I want to help you. You don’t have to go through this alone, okay?”

Johnnie didn't say anything. But just nodded his head. Slowly he sits up in his bed, groaning in pain from the soreness. He hasn't left his bed in a few days after all.
