Jake and Johnnie are at dinner this evening. Jake however looked a bit nervous as he is playing with his food, occasionally making glances at his boyfriend from across the table.

Johnnie looked up from his food and noticed Jake's nervousness. He tilted his head slightly and raised an eyebrow.

"Jake, is everything okay?" He asked, a hint of concern in his voice.

"Mhm," Jake hummed in response. As he is fidgeting with the small velvet black box in his pocket of his pants.

Johnnie watched Jake's behavior closely, noticing the nervousness in his body language. He set down his fork and leaned forward slightly.

"You're fidgeting. You only do that when you're nervous." He pointed out, a small smile playing on his lips.

In Johnnie's eyes, he just see's Jake playing with his pants. Jake sighed as he puts both hands on the table now. "Just nervous because you're so pretty across from me,"

Johnnie chuckled softly at Jake's compliment, his cheeks turning a light shade of pink. He leaned back in his chair and smirked.

"You're not so bad yourself, handsome." He teased, reaching across the table to hold Jake's hand.

Jake blushes as he lightly squeezed Johnnie's hand. He leaned forward and kissed Johnnie. Murmuring between kisses, "I got a surprise for you"

Johnnie smiled against Jake's lips, his heart fluttering at the surprise. He pulled back slightly, curiosity in his eyes.

"A surprise? You're making me even more curious now." He said, his thumb gently rubbing over Jake's knuckles.

"After we eat love," Jake pulls his hand back as he starts to eat. His heart is pounding, he is nervous.

Johnnie nodded, a hint of excitement in his expression. He started to eat as well, trying to calm his own nerves. He couldn't help but wonder what the surprise was.

"Alright, after we eat." He repeated, taking a sip of his drink. He stole glances at Jake, trying to read his expression.

Jake was anxious and excited all at once. He just kept his focus on his food, eating it and occasionally sipping from his drink.

Johnnie noticed Jake's restlessness, and it only made him more curious about the surprise. He tried to make conversation, hoping to distract himself from the anticipation.

"So, how was your day today?" He asked, taking another bite of his food.
"It was good, how was yours baby?" Jake asks as he sets his silverware down once he finished eating.

Johnnie smiled, happy to hear that Jake's day was good. He finished his own food and set his silverware down as well.

"Mine was pretty good too"He replied, his eyes flickering towards the black velvet box in Jake's pocket.

Jake gets up and takes the black box out. The moment of truth. His hands visibly shaking.

Johnnie's eyes widen slightly as he sees the black box in Jake's hand. His heart skips a beat, and he sits up straighter in his chair.

"Jake, what's going on?" He asks, a mix of curiosity and nervousness in his voice. He can see that Jake's hands are shaking, and it only makes him more anxious to know what's in the box.

"Johnnie Guilbert," Jake bravely said as he supressed his nervousness by smiling.

Johnnie's breath hitched as he heard his full name, his heart pounding in his chest. He couldn't believe what was happening. He looked at Jake with a mixture of surprise and anticipation.

"Y-yeah?" He managed to say, his voice shaky.

Jake got down on one knee, his hands shakily open the box to reveal a gorgeous engagement ring.

"Will you marry me...?"

Johnnie's eyes widened as he saw the engagement ring in the box. He was speechless for a moment, completely taken aback by the question.

He looked at Jake, who was on one knee, and felt a wave of emotions wash over him.He covered his mouth with his hand, tears welling up in his eyes.

"Y-yes! Yes, I'll marry you!" He exclaimed, his voice filled with excitement and joy.
"Wh- you said yes?!" Jake stood up with a flustered shocked expression.

Johnnie nodded, his smile wide and tears streaming down his face."Of course I said yes! I love you so much, Jake!"
He stood up as well, throwing his arms around Jake in a tight hug.

"My baby!" Jake returned the hug before he pulls back. "Put the ring on"

Johnnie chuckled through his tears, taking the ring from the box and sliding it onto his finger. He admired it for a moment, feeling a rush of emotions as he realized that he was engaged to the love of his life.

"It's beautiful." He said, looking up at Jake with a smile.

"I'm glad you think so," Jake hugged Johnnie close, "oh baby, i love you so much. my baby my, my, baby."

Johnnie melted into the hug, feeling completely overwhelmed with happiness. He buried his face in Jake's chest, tears still streaming down his face.

"I love you too, Jake. So much. You have no idea how happy you've made me."
Jake lifts Johnnie's head and kisses him on the lips softly.

Johnnie kissed Jake back, his arms wrapping around his neck. He poured all his love and happiness into the kiss, feeling like he was on cloud nine.

The couple left the restaurant, still holding each other close. They walked hand in hand, both of them admiring the engagement ring on Johnnie's finger.

Johnnie couldn't stop looking at it, a huge smile on his face. He felt like the luckiest person in the world.

"I can't believe this is real. I'm engaged to you." He said, squeezing Jake's hand.

"i love you baby," Jake muttered as he kissed Johnnies cheek.

Johnnie blushed at the kiss, feeling his heart flutter. He leaned against Jake, resting his head on his shoulder.

"I love you too, so much. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you." He said, his voice soft and filled with love.

As they continued to walk, the couple felt like they were in their own little world. They talked about their future plans and the excitement of their engagement.

Johnnie couldn't help but feel like he was on top of the world,

knowing that he had found his soulmate in Jake.
