Jake was sitting on his floor one night. He couldn't sleep. His mind is thinking about.. Johnnie. He tilted his head back, dark bags underneath his eyes as he stared up at his ceiling.

It was late at night, and Johnnie was lying in bed, scrolling through TikTok. He couldn't help but think about Jake, and how much he missed him.

He sighed, placing his phone on the nightstand and rolling over onto his side. He stared at the wall, unable to shake the thoughts of Jake from his mind.

Just one wall is separating the two from their bedrooms, but they're both worried about bothering the other.

Johnnie lay there, listening to the silence of the night. He could almost hear Jake breathing on the other side of the wall, and it was driving him crazy.

He sat up in bed, running a hand through his messy hair. He couldn't stand it anymore - he had to talk to Jake.

Jake was still seated on his floor, drumming his fingers on his knees. As he kept his gaze on his ceiling.

Johnnie got out of bed and walked over to his bedroom door. He hesitated for a moment before slowly opening it, peeking his head out into the hallway.

He saw Jake sitting on the floor, looking deep in thought. He took a deep breath and quietly walked towards him.

Jake however didn't notice. He was too focused in his head to realize the other sounds around him.

Johnnie knelt down beside Jake, his heart racing. He gently placed a hand on his shoulder, trying to get his attention.

"Hey, Jake" he whispered, his voice barely audible.

Jake got startled. He jolted in surprise as he looks at Johnnie. "Oh- hi." He spoke softly.

Johnnie chuckled softly, feeling a bit guilty for startling him."Sorry," he said, still keeping his voice low. He sat down beside Jake, their shoulders almost touching.

"Couldn't sleep either?" Johnnie asks.

"No," Jake replied. Laying his head down onto Johnnie's shoulder. His eyes full of exhaustion.

Johnnie felt his heart skip a beat as Jake rested his head on his shoulder. He gently wrapped an arm around him, pulling him closer.

"Me neither," he whispered, running his fingers through Jake's hair. "I've been thinking about you."

Jake blushes softly at those words. He kept his head down however. Feeling Johnnie's nails lightly graze at his scalp. "M-me, uh.. why?"

Johnnie smiled softly, feeling a flutter in his chest as he noticed the blush on Jake's face.

"Because I miss you," he admitted, his fingers still gently playing with Jake's hair. "I can't stop thinking about you, and it's driving me crazy."Jake sleepily laughs, "Idiot, we live together.."

Johnnie chuckled, playfully nudging Jake's side."I know, I know," he said, his voice full of affection."But that doesn't mean I can't miss you when we're not together. You're always on my mind, even when you're right next to me."

Jake lifted his head. Staring at Johnnie, trying to process and understand this. But it's going over his head.

Johnnie looked into Jake's eyes, his gaze soft and full of adoration. He gently cupped Jake's face in his hand, his thumb lightly tracing his cheekbone.

"You really don't understand, do you?" he said, a small smile on his lips."I care about you more than anything, Jake. I don't want to be apart from you, even for a second."
