Its been four months since they broke up. Johnnie has been falling into the rabbit hole of depression. He feels horrible for moving back in at his mother's and he has been drinking heavily and streaming to help cope with his emotions.

Mama Guilbert walked into Johnnie's old room where he was streaming and sighed, seeing the empty bottles and cans of alcohol scattered around the room.
"Johnnie, sweetie... you're drinking again."

She sat down next to Johnnie, her expression full of concern.

"Mama Guilbert is worried about you, baby... you've been drinking so much lately. It's not healthy..."

Johnnie clicked around on his computer before he looked at his mother. He muted his stream. "Mommmm, I'm streaming." He sounded obviously drunk.

Mama Guilbert rolled her eyes and gave him a stern look."I know you're streaming, Johnnie. But you need to stop drinking and pay attention to me. I'm trying to talk to you."

Johnnie huffed as he ended his stream abruptly. He turned in his swivel chair with a bottle of jack in his hand.

Mama Guilbert watched as he ended the stream and turned to face her, a bottle of whiskey in his hand. His eyes were sunken, and his skin was pale.

"You're only 26, Johnnie... you're too young to be drinking this much. It's going to kill you."

Johnnie sighed heavily at this. He sets the bottle down on his computer's desk. Tears filling his eyes, "I'm sorry, mom."

Mama Guilbert looked at him sympathetically, seeing the tears in his eyes. She reached out and gently placed a hand on his shoulder.

"Oh, sweetie... I know you're sorry. But you need to understand that you can't keep going on like this. You need to take care of yourself. You're not invincible."

"I know," Johnnie replied. He nodded his head a bit. "I won't drink anything else tonight, okay?" He kissed her cheek. "I love you, mama."

Mama Guilbert smiled softly and hugged him tightly, feeling relieved that he was going to stop drinking for the night.
"I love you too, baby. I just want what's best for you. You know that, right?"

"Mhm." Johnnie nods, sniffling a bit as he blinked away his tears. "I know."

Mama Guilbert pulled back from the hug and gently wiped away the tears from her son's eyes.

"Good. You're a strong young man, Johnnie. I know you can get through this. But you have to let me help you. You can't do it alone."

"Thanks, mom." Johnnie replied as he watched her get up. He gave a small smile to her as she quietly left the room.

She smiled back at her son and left the room, leaving him alone. She was worried about him, but she knew that he needed his space sometimes. She hoped that he would keep his promise and not drink anymore that night.

Later that night,

Johnnie stared at Jake's contact for what felt like hours, his tears streaming down his face.

He couldn't help but feel a deep sense of longing and regret. He missed Jake more than anything, and he wondered if Jake felt the same way.

He wanted nothing more than to hear his voice again, to feel his arms around him, to be loved by him once more.
