The next morning,

Jake slowly sat up, his head throbbing from the hangover. He looked around and realized he was still on the couch where he passed out last night.

He groaned again and rubbed his temples, trying to ease the pain. He then noticed Johnnie sitting on the floor next to him, scrolling through his phone.

"Hi baby," Jake leaned down and kissed Johnnie's head. "Can you get me some ibuprofen?"

Johnnie looked up from his phone and smiled at Jake.

"Sure thing, love."
He got up from the floor and walked over to the kitchen to get the ibuprofen. He returned a few moments later with a glass of water and the pills in his hand.

"Thank you," Jake grabbed the items from his boyfriend's hand. He takes the medicine and downed the water.

Johnnie sat back down next to Jake, watching him take the medicine."You're welcome. How's your head feeling?"

"Not great. But i don't want to talk about that. I want to talk about how i treated you last night," Jake frowned.

Johnnie's expression softened, and he looked a bit concerned."What do you mean?"
"When i was drunk, - i barely remember. I know we fought though." Jake sighed.

Johnnie nodded, a slight frown on his face."Yeah, we did. You were being a bit aggressive and saying some things you didn't mean."

"I'm sorry baby," Jake pulled Johnnie into a hug. Kissing his head. "I've just been so tensed lately, and i shouldn't take it out on you."

Johnnie hugged Jake back, resting his head on his shoulder."It's okay, I know you didn't mean it. I understand that you've been stressed, but that doesn't excuse your behavior. You can always talk to me about what's bothering you, you know that right?"

"Right," Jake slumped down. Laying his head on his boyfriend's lap. "I just have been feeling like i don't deserve you." He admitted.

Johnnie looked down at Jake, gently running his fingers through his hair.

"Why do you think you don't deserve me? You're amazing, Jake. You're smart, funny, and caring. I love you so much."

"I love you too, but just the way i treat you when I'm drunk. It's not okay. I use to be a chill drunk, or a funny drunk. But now I'm just moody and irritable. Maybe i need to stop drinking for a while." Jake vents.

Johnnie continued to play with Jake's hair, listening to his concerns.
"I think that's a good idea. Maybe taking a break from drinking for a while would be beneficial. It's clear that it's affecting your behavior and mood. We can work on it together, okay?"

"Okay," Jake replied, relaxing into the touch of his hair being played with. "That's helping my hangover," He laughed a bit.

Johnnie chuckled and continued to gently massage Jake's scalp, trying to soothe his hangover even more."Good. I'm glad I can help. You know, you're really cute when you're all relaxed like this."

It was quiet for a moment before Jake asked, "Do i really deserve you..? Because i don't think i do. You know, since how i treat you."

Johnnie looked down at Jake, his expression serious now."Jake, you deserve love and happiness just like everyone else. Just because you've made mistakes doesn't mean you don't deserve it. Everyone makes mistakes, but it's how we learn and grow from them that matters. I love you, and I choose to be with you despite your flaws. You're a good person, and you're capable of change. We all are."

"I love you too, baby. I promise I won't touch another bottle for awhile. and no parties. I just will stick to cigarettes or you know me - sweets." Jake laughed.

Johnnie smiled, happy to hear Jake's promise."That's good to hear. And I'll hold you to that promise. I know you have a sweet tooth, so I'm sure you'll be just fine without the alcohol. Just remember that I'm here for you, okay? You can always talk to me or lean on me when you need to. We'll get through this together."

"I love you" Jake sits up for a moment. Kissing Johnnie's lips before laying back down with his head on the emo's lap.

Johnnie smiled into the kiss, feeling a flutter in his chest.

"I love you too."
He chuckled and continued to play with Jake's hair, enjoying the moment of peace and quiet between them.

Jake fell asleep with his head on Johnnie's lap. He looked much more calmer now that they talked it out.

Johnnie smiled softly as he watched Jake fall asleep. He continued to gently stroke his hair, admiring his peaceful expression. He was glad that they were able to talk things out and come to a resolution.

He knew that it wouldn't be easy, but he was willing to support Jake through this journey.
