For the past few weeks, Jake has recently been prescribed Adderall and has to take it twice a day. One in the morning and one at night.

Tonight, Jake reluctantly goes to the bathroom to take his dose. He hated the medication, and how it was making him feel.

Johnnie heard the bathroom door open, he sat up and stretched a bit, rubbing his eyes tiredly.

Jake waited the latest before he just gives in and takes the medication. He hated it, he knew that this wasn't right.

Johnnie heard the pill bottle open and he slowly got up from the bed and walked to the bathroom, standing outside the door.

Jake sighed as he closes the medication lid once he was done. He turned his head. "Oh shit, did i wake you? Sorry,"

Johnnie chuckled a bit. "Nah, you're fine." He said as he leaned against the doorframe. "Can I ask you something?"

"Sure," Jake replied as he left the bathroom. The two walked down the hallway together.

Johnnie walked with him and once they were in the hallway he looked at him. "How's the medication going? You seem to be taking it pretty often."

Jake sighed at this question. "I hate it dude, i feel like a zombie." He admitted. He looked over, having dark circles underneath his eyes. "It makes me have constant headaches and i can hardly sleep."

Johnnie frowned when he saw the dark circles under his eyes. "Dude, you look like a mess. Have you tried to talk to your doctor about it?"

Jake shakes his head. "Haven't had the time.." He suddenly hugged his stomach and winced. "Shit.."

Johnnie was concerned as he saw him wince. "What's wrong? Are you okay?"

"No,.." Jake shakes his head, one hand now on his stomach the other on his head.

Johnnie gently grabbed his arm and guided him to the couch. "Sit down, let me take a look at you."

Jake sits on the couch, "It's the damn side effects from the Adderall dude, i already know what the fuck it is."

Johnnie sat down next to him and placed a hand on his shoulder. "I know, but I still wanna check on you. You look like you're in pain."

Jake winced again as he slumps down and his head rests onto Johnnie's lap. "This isn't right.."

Johnnie gently runs his fingers through Jake's hair, trying to soothe him. "I know it's not, but it's important to take care of yourself, even if the medication is making you feel like crap."

"No, Johnnie. You don't get it, it isn't RIGHT. like this wasn't made for me to take," Jake rubs his forehead as he groaned in pain.

Johnnie frowned and continued to comfort him. "I understand that it feels wrong, but you have to remember that medication isn't a one-size-fits-all solution. It might not be perfect for you, but it's supposed to help you manage your symptoms."

"But that is the thing, it isn't doing shit except causing me to feel fucking horrid." Jake snapped, which was also another side effect. "I also don't think i have ADHD dude.. this doesn't feel right to me."

Johnnie's expression softened, he knew how frustrating it could be when medication didn't work the way it was supposed to.

"Hey, I get it. I've been there too. But it's important to stick with it for a while, give it a chance to work properly. And if you really think you don't have ADHD, then maybe you should talk to your doctor about it."
