Johnnie noticed Jake was looking at old videos on the emo's channel. He cringed when he noticed it was the whole 'Kohnnie' thing with Kyle David Hall. It was a bittersweet time for Johnnie, but nowadays it is more uncomfortable to think about.

Jake has no idea about the whole #Kohnnie scenario, but now he is curious on what it is.

Jake chuckled when he noticed Johnnie cringing at the video, his curiosity piqued as he watched the interaction between Johnnie and Kyle.

"What's with that look? You seem a bit uncomfortable.." he asked, gently resting his chin on Johnnie's shoulder.

"Yeah.. I'm just remembering when Bryan like constantly uh.." Johnnie sighed. He shakes his head and looked away, remembering some trauma.

Jake's eyes widened a bit when Johnnie mentioned Bryan, he knew that was a touchy subject for him.

"Hey, hey.. it's okay, Johnnie. You don't have to talk about it if you don't want to." he said softly.

"Can you just uh- not watch those?.." Johnnie shakes his head. Hiding his face into Jake's shoulder.

Jake however was super curious now about the whole 'Kohnnie' shipping.

Jake chuckled again, rubbing Johnnie's back gently."Alright, alright. I won't watch them anymore, I promise." he said, pausing the video and closing the tab.

He couldn't help but notice how much Johnnie seemed to be bothered by the whole thing, and his curiosity grew even more.

Johnnie sighed in relief once the video was clicked away. He was glad that My Digital Escape was over, but there are memories he did miss, - but how traumatic it actually was.

Jake could sense the relief in Johnnie's sigh and he gave him a gentle squeeze.
"You okay? I'm sorry if watching those videos brought up some bad memories for you.." he said, his voice filled with concern as he nuzzled his face into Johnnie's shoulder.

"Yeah, im okay. I just haven't seen Kyle in so long." Johnnie replied as he let's go of Jake and sits on the bed.

Jake follows Johnnie to the bed and sits down beside him, his hand still resting on his back.

"I understand.. it must be hard for you, not seeing him after everything that happened." he said, his tone soft and understanding.

"I didn't really open to you about the whole Kohnnie thing did i? I mean, i told you about Bryan. But not Kohnnie." Johnnie fidgets with his rings.

Jake shook his head, listening intently as Johnnie spoke."No, you didn't really tell me about Kohnnie. I just saw the videos and assumed it was a ship name or something." he said, his expression turning serious as he waited for Johnnie to continue.

Johnnie shrugged, "It kinda was yeah. Pretty much, like how the fans are shipping you and me." He shrugged, "Except this.. is a big more..." He cringed as he rubbed his arm, uncomfortable.

Jake raised an eyebrow, his curiosity growing even more."How is it a bigger deal? What happened between you and Kyle that made the fans ship you two?" he asked, genuinely interested in the story.

"Hm, well. It started off as a joke. You know like how we joke around and flirt and stuff." Johnnie shrugged, "Which is fine, whatever the fuck, I don't - care. But, with Kyle.. it was a bit more.. strange."

He furrowed his eyebrows. "Bryan um, - kept the actual ship going.. not as like a joke, - he was using it as like.. content. Um," He cleared his throat. "So i made videos, with #Kohnnie, in it.. and uhm.."

Jake listened carefully, his expression growing more concerned as Johnnie spoke.
"So, you and Kyle did videos together and Bryan used it for content, and then you started getting uncomfortable with it?" he asked, trying to piece together the story.

Johnnie shrugged, "Yeah kinda.. I mean, we didn't really think about it at the time. Since we we're.. minors." He shuddered, "But, Bryan was taking the ship too far and sexualizing us for YouTube views and content."

Jake's eyes widened in shock and anger.
"He what?!" he exclaimed, his grip on Johnnie's back tightening slightly as he processed the information. "That's disgusting.."

"Me especially.. I don't know - why, Bryan liked me so much," Johnnie laughed nervously. "I'm just glad that part of my life is over."

Jake wrapped his arms around Johnnie, pulling him into a tight hug."I'm so sorry you had to go through that." he said, his voice filled with anger and concern. "Bryan is a piece of garbage for doing that to you.."

Johnnie returned the hug. "Well i was seventeen and living with a twenty-four year old man at the time, so yeah, it was pretty fucking weird." He laughed this off, but internally he felt his trauma eating at him.

Jake held Johnnie tighter, feeling a pang of guilt in his chest."You were still a minor, and he was an adult.. it wasn't right for him to take advantage of you like that." he said, his voice filled with regret. "I'm sorry I wasn't there to protect you from him.."

Johnnie laughed, "Jake we didn't even meet until two years ago," He lifted his head and smiled at him. "This happened years ago.. yeah, I'm still processing through it but I'm doing alright." He reassured.

Jake smiled back at Johnnie, but he still felt a sense of responsibility for not being there to protect him.

"I know, I just wish I could have been there for you sooner.." he said, gently running his fingers through Johnnie's hair. "You don't have to go through this alone anymore, okay? I'm here for you now.."

"Thank you and i appreciate you. You're my best friend." Johnnie returned the hug. "And that kiss we did spread #Jahnnie like crazy," He laughed.

Jake chuckled and rolled his eyes playfully.
"Oh god, don't remind me. That kiss was just for the fans, right?" he said, a hint of teasing in his voice. "I didn't know they'd take it so seriously.."

"We were drunk as fuck when it happened," Johnnie snickers. "Who cares anyway? We make flirty jokes all the time, we kissed on New Years also."

Jake smirked and nodded in agreement.
"Yeah, you're right. We do flirt all the time, and we did kiss on New Years.." he said, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "But it's fun to tease the fans, don't you think?"

Johnnie laughed , "Yeah, like the whole rumor bullshit." He shakes his head. "But yeah, uh- Kohnnie was a ship me and my old friend Kyle did for the My Digital Escape days, that's really it. ...Just went a bit too excessive you know, because.. Bryan."

Jake chuckled and nodded again, his expression softening as he listened to Johnnie talk about his past.

"I get it, it's all just a part of your past now.. and you're here with me now." he said, gently running his fingers through Johnnie's hair again. "And I'll make sure to keep Bryan away from you, I promise."

Johnnie hugged Jake. "I hope i never see that guy again.." He buried his face into Jake's chest.

Jake hugged Johnnie back tightly, holding him close as he spoke."I hope you never have to see him again either. He doesn't deserve to be anywhere near you." he said, his voice filled with determination. "You're safe with me, I'll always protect you.."

"Thanks Jake, you're the bestest friend i could ever ask for." Johnnie pulled back and smiled at Jake.

Jake smiled back at Johnnie, his heart warming at his words.
"You're welcome. And you're the bestest friend I could ever ask for too." he said, gently cupping Johnnie's face in his hands.

"I'll always be here for you, no matter what. You can always count on me."

Johnnie smiles at Jake's words.
