Jake and Tara got super drunk one night and ended up sleeping together after the party.

The next morning came along, and Jake woke up first. He groaned and opened his eyes, realizing he wasn't in his boyfriend's room... he was in his ex-girlfriend's house.

"Shit."

Tara was still asleep next to him, snoring softly. She had her arm draped over his chest, and her leg tangled with his under the sheets.

Jake carefully got out of the bed. How was he supposed to explain this to his boyfriend Johnnie?

Tara stirred and slowly opened her eyes. She looked at Jake with a sleepy expression and smiled."Morning..." she mumbled, stretching her arms.

"Morning, Tara." Jake responded, rubbing his forehead as he picks up his shirt from the floor.

Tara sat up and ran a hand through her messy hair. She looked at Jake with a sly grin."did we really sleep together last night?"

"Yeah, but.. there's something I forgot to tell you.. or have been hiding from everyone, really." Jake responded, sitting on the edge of the bed. He groaned from the hangover as he is rubbing his head.

Tara tilted her head, looking at him with a curious expression."What is it? You can tell me." she said, leaning back against the headboard.

"I'm dating Johnnie. And, i have been for awhile..." Jake admitted, running a hand through his red hair. "...I guess i was thinking about you at that party instead of Johnnie and.. well, now we ended up.. here."

Tara's eyes widened in surprise.
"Wait, you're dating Johnnie? Since when?" she asked, sitting up straighter.

"For awhile uh- like uh.. few months or so, about 4 months or so." Jake responded, scratching the back of his head. "I was trying to date Johnnie to try and move on from you but.. it didn't work very well."

Tara looked a bit guilty and looked down at the sheets."I'm sorry, I had no idea you were seeing someone else. I never would've done that if I knew."

"It's not your fault Tara, i swear. I should've said something. Now i fucked shit up, i gotta see Johnnie-" Jake panicked a bit as he gets up, slipping on his pants.

Tara grabbed his arm and pulled him back down to the bed."Hey, calm down. You're not gonna be able to talk to him if you're freaking out like this."

"No Tara! I have to go see him, right now! He's probably wondering where the fuck i am!" Jake got back up and rushed out of her room. Running downstairs. He felt bad for leaving her like this, but he needed to see Johnnie.

He cheated, on Johnnie.

Tara quickly got up and followed him downstairs, still in her pajamas.
"Jake, wait! You can't just leave like this. You need to talk to me first!" she called after him.

Jake turned around when she walked downstairs. His heart racing in panic, and guilt.

Tara walked up to him, her expression a mix of concern and confusion.
"You can't just run off like that. We need to talk about what happened. What are you going to tell Johnnie?"

"I can't lie to him, that is not happening. It'll just make things worse, I should've been honest from the damn beginning. I don't know why i hid this from you, you're friends with Johnnie for christ's sake." Jake shakes his head.
