"Hey," Jake said as he is driving with Johnnie next to him in the passenger seat. "You've been quiet since we left that party, you okay?"

Johnnie was looking out the window, his thoughts still on the party they had just attended. He let out a sigh before answering Jake."Yeah, I'm fine. Just thinking about something."

"C'mon, you've been quiet since that one girl was flirting with me there," Jake replied, completely clueless that Johnnie has feelings for him.

Johnnie felt a pang in his chest at Jake's words. He tried to play it cool, but he couldn't hide the jealousy in his voice.
"I wasn't quiet because of that. I just... didn't have anything to say, I guess."

"Alright," Jake replied, his breath smelt of slight booze as he is driving. "Well if you need to tell me anything, let me know." He replied.

Jake was a bit buzzed, however he is still coherent to drive them back home.
Meanwhile Johnnie had one drink, since he was too focused on how many party girls were flirting with Jake at the time.

Johnnie looked at Jake, noticing the smell of alcohol on his breath. He was slightly worried about him driving, but he knew Jake was responsible enough not to put them in danger."You sure you're okay to drive? You had a few drinks back there."

"I'm alright, Johnnie. I won't get us hurt." Jake glanced over at the emo before looking back towards the road. He looked attractive in the dim lighting of the city lights and streetlights dancing across his face.

Johnnie couldn't help but admire Jake's good looks. The way the city lights played on his face made him look even more handsome than usual.

Johnnie felt a pang of longing in his chest, knowing that he would never have a chance with Jake.He tried to push those feelings down and focus on the conversation.
"If you say so, man. Just be careful, okay?"

"Okay," Jake replied. It was quiet for a few minutes, it looked like the punk was suddenly passing out at the wheel!

Johnnie's eyes widened in alarm as he saw Jake's head droop down slightly. He quickly reached over and shook his shoulder.
"Jake, wake up! You can't fall asleep while driving, man!"

"Huh?!" Jake swerved a bit as he woke up. He shakes his head, getting back into reality. "Shit, my bad!" He laughed a bit. "Hand me my pack of cigarettes from the glovebox, would you? i need to wake up."

Johnnie quickly reached for the glovebox and handed Jake the pack of cigarettes. He was still a bit shaken up from the scare.
"Dude, you can't do that! You almost drove us into a ditch!"

"Well, I'm fucking sorry, okay?!" Jake exclaimed back, just as panicked as Johnnie is.

He stopped at a red light. Taking a cigarette for himself and lighting it. Before handing Johnnie the pack of cigarettes back.

Johnnie takes the pack of cigarettes and shakes his head, still a bit annoyed.
"I know you're sorry, but you need to be more careful. You can't just fucking fall asleep at the wheel like that, man. It's dangerous."

"I know," Jake replied, a bit irritated in his tone as he shakes his head. He puts the cigarette to his lips and rolled down his window, exhaling the smoke.

Johnnie let out a sigh, realizing that Jake was already irritated. He knew better than to push him further."Look, I'm just worried about you, okay? I don't want anything bad to happen to us."
