☆Marriage Anniversary☆

Today was a special day, it was the anniversary that Jake and Johnnie have gotten married.

However - Jake the being klutz and forgetful guy he can be - forgot that their anniversary was today.

Johnnie was already up, making breakfast in the kitchen. He had been up since 5 am, planning to make a nice breakfast for Jake and surprise him with a little something extra for their anniversary.

Jake got up at his usual routine time of 8:00AM sharp. He walked downstairs in his PJ bottoms and tanktop as usual and sat on the couch. Doing what he usually does every morning.

Johnnie walked into the living room, wearing a t-shirt and skinny jeans, with a big smile on his face.

He placed the tray of food he was holding on the coffee table in front of Jake and sat down next to him."Morning, sleepyhead," he said, giving Jake a quick kiss on the cheek.

Jake noticed the tray of food. Which is something... off about the routine, usually he makes his own breakfast every morning or doesn't eat until later.

"Hi," The punk muttered as he takes the food tray. He is grateful for the meal, but it was over his head about how special the day is. He is eating his breakfast.

Johnnie watches as Jake starts to eat his breakfast, a mix of anticipation and slight disappointment in his eyes. He had hoped that Jake would remember the significance of the day, but it seemed like he had forgotten.

He tried to hide his disappointment, not wanting to ruin the mood, and instead leaned back on the couch, waiting for Jake to finish eating.

Once Jake finished, he kissed Johnnie's cheek and got up to put the tray away. "Why'd you make me breakfast honey?!" He called as he puts the tray in the sink.

Johnnie chuckled and followed Jake into the kitchen, wrapping his arms around his waist from behind.

"Can't I make my husband breakfast on our anniversary?" he asked, resting his chin on Jake's shoulder.

Jake was trying to process. He turned around, "That's not today.." He trailed off in thought.

Johnnie raised an eyebrow, a hint of amusement in his expression.

"Yes, it is," he said, gently tapping Jake's nose with his finger. "Don't tell me you forgot."

Jake looked at Johnnie, "Oh..." As he finally remembered the importance of today.

Johnnie chuckled again, shaking his head in mock disapproval."You forgot, didn't you?" he teased, a smile playing on his lips.

"Yeah, shit.." Jake hugged Johnnie. "I'm sorry, hon.. i didn't mean to forget.." He sounded guilty.

Johnnie hugged Jake back, wrapping his arms around him tightly.
"It's okay, I'm not mad," he said, rubbing Jake's back soothingly."I just thought you'd remember our anniversary."

Jake looked at Johnnie.

Johnnie noticed the look on Jake's face and sighed, his expression softening a bit.
"Hey, seriously, I'm not mad," he repeated, cupping Jake's face in his hands. "I know you've been busy lately. It's just... it would have been nice if you remembered."

Jake leaned into the touch, "I didn't think it was a year already.. I'm so sorry baby, - fuck, i feel horrible.."

Johnnie smiled softly, his thumb gently tracing over Jake's cheek."It's alright, I understand. You've had a lot on your mind lately. But you know what would make me feel better?"
