Going over to where the others were, I realized that dinner was in fact not done. Looking up at Azrael, she seemed a little taken aback before groaning and rubbing her face. "I've forgot. Ash eats her meat semi raw." Semi raw?

Looking over at Ash, she was grinning from ear to ear. Looking down at a hunk of somewhat cooked deer meat that was still slightly bleeding in her hands.

The hewolf that was sitting next to her just smiled at her nervously as Ash took a big bite, ripping off a piece and moaning from the taste of it.

Turning my attention away from her, a few of the other warriors were making more fires to cook the rest of the deer.

Hearing Azrael sigh, she turned her head towards another hewolf that was tending to a fire. Keeping it from going out. "Gus." He stopped what he was doing and lifted his head up to Azrael. "Come get us when the food is actually done, got it?"

He nodded. "You got it, Alpha."

Sighing, Azrael looked down at me. Our hands still linked together. "Looks like we have to wait a little longer for dinner to be served. In the meantime, I want to do something, Is that alright with you, Iris?"

Hearing my name perked my interest and made me slightly worried. Azrael never says my name unless it's important. "Sure." She grinned. "Great, follow me."

Turning to the woods, Azrael began guiding me away from the others. I felt some stares on me but ignored it, only focusing on my mate as the two of us left camp and headed deeper into the woods.

I didn't say a word while we walked, just looking around with the help of my night vision due to it being night and the fires light was no longer in sight.

After a while, Azrael let go of my hand. Turning to her, I stopped in my tracks. She took a few more steps before turning back to me. A look of seriousness in her eyes.

"Iris, do you remember back at home where I said that you might be able to shift back into your wolf form if I order you to?"

A small gasp left me, but I quickly spoke. "Yes, I remember."

The Alpha hummed. "Do you...want to do it now? Just to get it out of the way?" My eyes lit up and I eagerly nodded my head, unable to keep still at the fact that I might finally shift again after so many years. "Yes! Yes!"

Azrael chuckled at my excitement. "Hold it, little flower. I must warn you that once I do this, it can not be stopped. Shifting after some many years is going to extremely painful for you."

I firmly nodded my head, my expression serious at her warning. "I can handle it." Azrael stared at me in silence for a moment before nodding her head. "Okay. First, you should probably take off your clothes so you don't rip them to shreds."

Feeling my cheeks turn red from hearing that, I slowly stripped down to my bare skin. Feeling Azrael's eyes on me the entire time.

Setting my clothes down over by a tree, I looked back at Azrael to see that she was looking up and down at my naked body with a sinister smirk. A small glint in her eyes as she licked her teeth.

"Az!" I whined, feeling embarrassed of her staring. Noticing the large bulge in her pants. "Focus."

She laughed, snapping out of it. "Alright, alright. But it's not like I've not seen it before through." My cheeks turned even more darker.

Calming herself, Azrael took a deep breath, focusing her attention on me and staring straight into my eyes. "As the Queen of the Alphas, I order you to shift, Iris, daughter of Raymond."

My entire body suddenly became heavy and I dropped to my hands and knees. Feeling something start to give way deep inside me, I gritted my teeth from the waves of agonizing pain of my bones slowly breaking themselves. "Shift."

Forcing my head up, body shaking tremendously, I glared up at Azrael. She was looking down at me with a dark gaze that held a hint of sadness, I know she was worried about me but there was a small part of me that didn't like that fact she was ordering me around for some reason.

She seemed to notice that and her eyes narrowed. "Shift. That is a direct order from your true king, little Alpha. Shift. Now." Feeling the weight of her order, something inside me snapped.

The chains that bind my wolf to the deepest part inside of me that didn't let her see the light of days in years, broke.

My tearfully eyes winded from the pain and I squeezed them tightly shut. Yelling from everything before those screams became loud whines and animalistic cries. Then, all was dark.

When regaining consciousness, my entire body was sore. Whimpering from the pain, I tried to sit up only to fail. Confused, I went to try again, only to fail once more.

Trying for a third time with a little more effort, I managed to turn on my stomach and lift my head only a little. Looking down, the first thing I saw was a paw with brown fur.

Wait! A paw! Brown fur!?

Shooting up from the ground and sitting, I stared at my paw before looking at the other one. Excitement filled me and I lifted my head at Azrael, seeing her smile with pride and happiness. I smiled back at her at the best of my ability in my wolf form.

Feeling a small presents in the back of my head, the excitement disappeared and my smile fell. I already know who it was.

Focusing on the presents, I was quickly greeted by my wolf. The wolf I locked up all those years ago to survive. Guilt immediately washed over me.

Looking at her, she seemed so empty but there was a fire in her eyes that held anger and I knew way. She was apart of me, but yet, I threw her aside like she was nothing. Locked her up in nothing but darkness.

And seeing her, no words came to mind on what to say to her. And she didn't whine nor whimper, bark, or growl at me. Just sat there, staring at me. Waiting. Yet, I knew that no amount of apologizing will make up for what I did to her.

It'll be best to give her some time to herself...free.

'Do you...want to take control for a while? Explore around and see our mate?" She perked up, tail wagging.

I sadly smiled at that, closing my eyes and giving control to my wolf.
