-Two and a half weeks Later-

Blood running down her face, dripping onto the stone ground, Iris breathed heavily. Her gaze down, staring at the ground, not looking away. Her father stood above her, grinning down at her. His fists covered in blood that wasn't his own.

Taking a step back, he let out a relieved sigh. Grabbing a rag from his pocket and began cleaning his fists with it. "You know." He started. "Ever since you ran away, it's been rather difficult to relief some of my stress. No one is as good as being a punching bag like you."

Iris didn't say a word, keeping on her head down while being on her knees, hunched over to guard her child. Protecting her stomach from any harm. Hands bounded behind her back, the chains digging into her skin and the silver burning her wrists. Something she had gotten used to.

She didn't know how long she was chained down in this dungeon. A few days. A week? Two? She couldn't tell. Her mind started blocking everything out after the first few hours of being there. She didn't remember.

All she did know was that her body ached. On fire. Underneath her blood covered fur clothes laid bruises and cuts that were slowly healing while the blood remained. Most definitely not coming off her clothes anytime soon. Or ever.

Iris didn't care about that though. Her mind was else where while feeling empty inside. Only focusing on her still beating heart and her unborn pup's safety.

Feeling something warm pressing against the back of her head. Against her will, Iris closed her eyes after a moment and drifted off as Alpha Raymond continued to talk, unaware that Iris wasn't paying attention no longer.

-

Iris was sitting in a small hill, staring out at a field of beautiful flowers. All different colors and smells. And playing in this field on flowers, was a group of children. All different ages, heights, skin color, with either black and brown hair. Their laughs filled the air.

They didn't seem to notice the shewolf staring at them from a distance. If they did, they weren't paying any attention to her.

Iris couldn't move her gaze from them. Just watched them play. Not even moving her head when she heard footsteps coming up from behind and the sounds of chains rattling.

The person sat down right beside Iris. That's  when the shewolf finally turned her head to look at the person. Her eyes widened slightly when she saw... herself? Only, chains wrapped around her body, clinging tightly to the doppelgänger and her eyes were pitch black. Iris relaxed at that.

The lookalike wasn't a doppelgänger at all, but her wolf. Taking the form of herself to speak to Iris in her mind. "How much longer are you going to keep me chained up like this?" Swift asked, staring at her person who turned her attention back to the army of children playing in the flowers. "How much longer are you going to push me away?"

"I'm doing this to protect you." Iris spoke softly, lowering her gaze and stared at her feet. "Alpha is very dangerous. He'll hurt you. I don't want to see you get hurt."

Swift's eyes softened at that. Ignoring the chains that hugged her body so tight, she stared at a broken girl who just recently picked up the pieces only for them to fall out of her hands.

Understanding that her person was trying to protect, but in the meantime, unknowingly hurting her by pushing her away. A part of her soul and being.
