Hearing Azrael's rough wolf chuckle as I struggled to stand on my four paws, I snapped my head towards her and snarled angrily at her.
That made her shut her jaw and turned the other way, but the amusement was still lingering in her eyes and she was still grinning.
Huffing at my bully of a mate, I turned back around and bend down to pick up my clothes from the ground, beginning to walk away as the rest of the group patiently waited for Azrael to begin the run which she did after a minute.
It was a struggle to keep up with the rest of the group. I could barely feel my legs and everything ached, and if my morning couldn't get worst, I was unable to keep anything down for breakfast.
I immediately threw up just at the smell of cooked meat. At least Azrael was there to comfort me. This was the first time I ever had morning sickness and it was awful.
Being pregnant isn't really fun. Werewolf pregnancies only last six months, so just five more months to go. Fun. This morning I noticed a tiny bump, Azrael got really excited at that and kept on rubbing my stomach ever so gently.
Talking about names and what we should do when we get back to the pack as we laid in the field of flowers, naked. Both covered in marks, either it be hickeys or scratch marks.
Embarrassing really since Azrael didn't have a shirt and everyone was eyeing all the scratch marks on her back that I caused. Also for some reason, they looked to be shocked when they noticed all the hickeys all over the Alpha's neck and shoulder blade.
Anyways, after a while of running, my legs finally gave out under me so Azrael decided it would be best to carry me for the rest of the way.
I didn't really protest caused I couldn't walk anymore anyways nor stand really so it was a nice break for my legs.
Shifting into my human form and putting my clothes back on, I climbed onto Azrael's back, clinging onto her fur to not fall off, and we were off.
It didn't take long, maybe a couple more hours, when everyone slowed down to a stop. Shifting from fur to skin and putting on their clothes.
Looking up at Azrael with confusion, she helped me to my feet and guided everyone for a minute until we broke free from the tree line and into a clearing with a giant house in the middle. People were already outside waiting for us.
There were wolves dressed in black with something in their ear, all were tall and muscular. Warriors most likely.
And there was a man a bit shorted then everyone else but probably an inch taller than me. He had short ragged brown hair and green eyes, he wore an expensive blue suit as a golden crown laid on his head. He must be the king.
Moving my eyes to the woman that stood next to him, she had her head down, hiding her face. But she had long blond hair and wore a fancy blue dress, another golden crown on her head.
Turning my gaze away from her, the group and I walked over to them. Stopping just a few feet away as Azrael was at my side.
The King took a step forward, a faint grin on his face, eyeing the hickeys on her neck but didn't say anything about it for the time being. "Sister, so lovely that you decided to listen to me and not make me go to that dreadful place you call home."
The Rogue werewolves growled at that, but quickly stopped when Azrael glanced over her shoulder at them. Turning back to her brother and sighed after a moment. "Aspen, tell me why you wanted a meeting with me."
His eye twitched. "It's King to you, rogue."
"You are nothing but a false that managed to take the throne with the help of the new council." Aspen growled, his eyes darkening as his body began to shake.
Glancing over at Azrael, she paid no mind to her older brother's tantrum. But did step in front of me a little.
After a moment, the false king stopped and took a deep breath. Calming himself before opening his eyes again. "Anyways, dear sister, I didn't ask for this meeting just for the two of us to fight." Didn't you demand her to come?
"Then, what did you want to talk about?" Aspen didn't say anything, just scanned our group until he landed on me.
His eyes wondered up and down my body, lust filling them to the brim as he licked his lips, sending shivers of disgust down my spine and I wrapped my arms around my stomach protectively.
Moving closer to Azrael, she wrapped an around around me. Staring daggers at her brother who moved his gaze over to her. "Stare at my mate anything longer, Aspen, I will gorge out your eyes and shove them down your throat."
The lust in his eyes disappeared in an instant as they narrowed. Him letting a small growl at the threat before finally speaking, making me relaxed as I cling close to Azrael.
"I just wanted to talk about something, dear sister. I'll get more into it once we head inside to talk."
"No. We talk here or me and my warriors would head back to our lands."
As the two siblings continued to argue, I looked back over at the false king's mate and couldn't help but to feel sorry for her. She was just standing there motionless.
After a moment, she lifted her head by just a little and glanced over at Aspen, making it much more easier for me to see her face.
Her expression was empty, she looked tired with bags under her eyes. Dry tears stains on her cheeks along with a giant bruise.
My grip on Azrale tightened as I stared at her, my mind wandering back to when I was in her position.
I only snapped out of it by Azrael's loud voice. "If you keep being annoying, Aspen, my warriors, mate, and I shall accompany you inside. But dare to hurt a single hair on any of them, I will kill each and every one of your followers and chase you down to hell."
Sweat tricked down Aspen's face as he gulped, forcing his smile to stay up right before turning around without saying a word and began heading inside. His mate following him as the men in black stayed right where they were, their eyes lock on us.
Azrael turned to the warriors and gave them a small nod, looking down at me, I could see the hesitation in her eyes.
Grabbing her hand and squeezing it, I gave her a small smile. Sending through the bond some comfort.
She smiled back at that and faced forward, her expression going back to her empty as she kept her arm around me as us and the twenty warriors followed the false king into the house.
