While waiting for Azrael to wake up and finally let me go, I accidentally fell asleep after a while. But the time I woke up again, the entire group was already awake and was getting ready to go back on the run.
Sitting up from the grassy ground, Azrael, who was standing a few feet away, quickly noticed and turned to me with a smirk. "Ah, finally decided to join us from the land of dreams, I see." Narrowing my eyes at her, I softly growled.
Not saying anything to her as I pout, I turned my attention to something different. Did my clothes get even more tighter since last night? They feel so uncomfortable right now.
Thinking for a moment, I struggled it off. I'll deal with that later, right now, I want to run in my wolf form.
Beginning to take off my shirt, feeling Azrael's eyes on me, a large hand suddenly grabbed my arm which made me stop.
Putting my shirt down, I looked up, making eye contact with Azrael. She was frowning, being the one holding my arm with a hint of jealousy in her eyes.
I tilted my head at her. Noticing a few of the others staring at us, but with one look from Azrale, they quickly looked away.
"Az, what's wrong?" She looked back at me, her eyes wandering down to my chest. A soft growl leaving her. "Don't undress here. Go behind a tree to do that." Confused, I agreed.
Azrael let me go and I went over to a tree, a little further from everyone else before undressing down to my skin. When that was done, I closed my eyes and through of my wolf.
Imagining her in my head, I felt my body began to transform. It hurt, but the pain wasn't nearly as bad as last night. Much more bearable.
By the time I reopened my eyes, I was in my wolf form. Happy about that, my tail wagged behind me before I quickly grabbed my clothes with my mouth and stepped out from behind the tree, rushing over to Azrael and the others who were already in their wolf forms and waiting for me.
Going over to Azrael, tail still wagging while unable to keep still for too long. The pitch black fur wolf looked down at me, amusement in her eyes as she smirked.
She leaned forward and rubbed her head against me, making me do the same right back. A smile on my lips.
When Azrael she was done, she pulled away and grabbed her clothes that were neatly folded by her paws. Looking back at the warriors, she gave a simple nod.
Facing forward, we were off.
Maybe it was my excitement, but I was ahead of the group by just a little bit. Taking in everything as I ran. Enjoying the wind blowing through my fur, my paws pouching against the dirt, and feeling a new sense of peace and happiness as I ran through the forest.
After a while of running, there were a loud painful yelp that made everyone, including me, to stop. Quickly turning back, a saw that one of the wolves was laying on the ground with a painful expression.
The others were surrounded him, checking to see if he was alright with one of them sniffling at one of his forward paws.
Azrael walked over to him, having placed her clothes down, and the others lifted their heads when she approached, stepping out of her way.
Leaning down, she too checked on his paw. Sniffing it for a moment, she huffed, pulling away and growl. "We take a break until he is fully healed."
The wolves nodded their heads, putting their clothes down before laying around. A few staying close to the injured wolf and surrounding him, making sure nothing got to him while he was hurt.
Doing the same, I looked around, wanting to go back to run but didn't want to leave my pack member behind while he was injured and unable to walk for a while.
While looking around, my eyes landed on a patch of purple flowers a few feet away. Walking over to them, I leaned down to sniff them. They didn't smell like anything but they were really pretty.
Without hesitation, I gently took one. With the flower in my mouth, I turned around and walked over to Azrael who was laying down next to a tree with her head on her paws, keeping an eye out with the other on the injured wolf.
She turned to me when she saw me walking up to her, not moving from her spot as I reached her and bowed my head, putting the flower in her fur, right next to her ear.
Pulling away, I couldn't help but gush over how adorable she was with the flower in her fur.
Sitting down, I stared down at my mate, wrapping my tail around me as I smiled. Azrael glanced up at me and huffed, not moving where she laid or tried to get the flower off, making me even more happy.
Laying down, I kept close to the Alpha. Patiently waiting until we can go back on our run.
After maybe half an hour, the wolf that was injured sat up. Looking down at his hurt paw before taking a step with it. Not yelped from any pain, he looked over at Azrael and me and barked.
Hearing it, Azrael opened her eyes and looked over at him. Seeing that he was now alright, she got up and walked over to where her clothes were.
Also getting up from the forest ground, I turned my head to the others when seeing that they weren't moving.
They were staring at Azrael with wide eyes, a few jaws dropped. Tilting my head from confused at why they were like that, I got up and picked up my clothes, going to stand at her side.
When Azrael turned back to them, their shocked faces became even more intense while she face them. What's up with them?
