Leaning more against Azrael with my head on her shoulder, her hold on me got tighter when we got back to her pack and walked past a lot more people doing their own thing.

And just like before, everyone would stop what they were doing to bow as we walked by, moving out of the way. A few gave me small glances but I just ignored them. Snuggling deep into Azrael which made her look down at me. "What's wrong? Don't like all the attention on us?"

My head shook, a small blush on my cheeks. "Not use to it." I whispered, feeling even more embarrassed. Whenever attention was on me, that lead to me getting a beating or a punishment. Sometimes both.

Azrael watched me for a moment before looking back up. "You don't have to by afraid." Did she notice my nervousness? "I can keep you safe, everyone here either respect me or is afraid of me. So they won't do anything to do, I won't let them." Afraid?

I looked up to Azrael, my hand tightly gripping onto her fur jacket. "Why are people afraid of you?"

"Because I'm not a nice person, little mate." What is she talking about? She's always nice to me. Is she wasn't nice, she would be beating me and not carrying around for all to see. "So, are you only nice to me then?"

"Only you, my little flower. My mate." I felt my cheeks get even more red at her loud statement. The sound of a few people gasping out of shock filled my ears.

Unable to take it anymore, I tuck my face in Azrael's neck to hide. I felt her chest rumble as her laughter filled the air. Probably surprising even more people. She's such a bully.

I would have swatted her shoulder for laughing at me but we're still surrounded, all eyes on the two of us. And that would probably lead to problems later on.

After a while, Azrael set me back down on a chair this time, much to my confusion and want to hide in her arms. She simply smiled and patted my head as if I was a pup. Embarrassing.

Why are we sitting at a table outside? Shouldn't tables be inside?

Feeling slightly uncomfortable and shifting around in my seat, I looked around and saw a few other tables close by with other people at them, either talking to each other, eating, or both.

Snapping my attention back to Azrael when she moved some of my long hair out of the way of my face and put it behind my ear, then she spoke. "Wait here, I'm gonna get you something to eat." But I already ate today.

Before I could say anything to her through, she was already walking away.

A sigh left me and my gaze shifted downwards. Thinking for a moment, I placed a hand on top of the table to get a better look of my nails and couldn't help but to start studying them.

They're grew much longer than what I normally let them since Alpha liked to rip them off during punishment when he sees that they're longer enough to grab. Just thinking about makes me wince. Maybe I should trim them down soon?

No, I'm not there anymore. Azrael won't let anything bad happen to me, maybe I should just leave them alone and cut them just a little when they grew too long.

I wonder if Azrael likes having her head scratched. Maybe I should scratch it whenever I find an opportunity to do it. She might like it.

Seeing a tray get place down in front of me, my attention stayed on it until it turned when someone sat next to me. Azrael.

A frown on my lips, my head tilted on my lips, she rested her chin on her hand and watched me. "Go on, eat, you're probably hungry. We've been walking around for a while now." You've been walking, I was carried the entire time. You should eat the food.

Looking back at the it, it was cooked meat cut up with mashed potatoes and roasted asparagus. It looks and smells really good. My mouth is even watering. I guess it won't hurt to have a little nibble.

Grabbing the wooden fork that was on the tray, I picked up a bit of the mashed potatoes and eat it. My eyes widened at how good it was and quickly eat some more.

Azrael's chuckle filled my ears but I ignored her, only focusing on my mash potatoes. Humming in pure bliss.

In the corner of my eye, a few hewolves got up their table and walk away with their half eaten trays in hand, looking a little nervous and afraid. But why? There's nothing scary here. Looking back at Azrael, she just shrugged smiling.

Maybe I should give her a nickname, after all, she likes to call me her "little flower" or "my mate". But would she be okay with it? She looks like the type of person that wouldn't go by a nickname unless it was her title or rank.

But, it's worth a shot. Az should do. I'm not really good at nicknames and it's the only thing that I can come up with that's not Bully or Meanie.

"Do I have something on my face, little flower?" Paying no mind to her question, I scooped up some of my remaining mash potatoes and shoved it in Az's mouth. "Try it, Az, it's really good."

Her eyes widened as she stared down at me, chewing on the food before swallowing it. Still looking shock.

Out of nowhere a black feathered bird landed on Az's shoulder, cawing in her ear very loudly with something attached to its legs which made Az snap out of it.

Turning her head to look at the bird, it suddenly hopped off her shoulder and landed on the table. I think it's a crow.

Maya told me about how packs use to use them to send messages to each other to communicate faster then sending a scout, but no one has use them in a really long time since we have technology now to do it.

Gently untying what was on the crow's leg, the crow cawed again before taking off and flying away.

Unrolling the note, Az read it. Her face becoming stoned cold and angry as she crumpled up the paper and got up from her seat. "Let's go."

Plucking me up, Az began walking away. Not telling me anything about what she had just read when I asked.

Must be pretty bad if I got my mate to not respond to me.
