Getting back onto my feet, I dust myself off and went back to doing the rest of my chores. The rest of the day was uneventful and I didn't see Maya at all. She didn't even show up for dinner.

Alpha didn't come to dinner either, and Alpha is always at dinner. It's worrying. Even Luna looked disturbed but she hid it.

When dinner was over, she quickly got up from her seat and left the dining hall. Some of the pack saw how troubled she was and quickly left too.

Cleaning everything up before going upstairs, in the corner of my eye as I passed by a window, there were cars lined up in-front of the pack house.

Stopping, I stared out the window and saw people going back into their cars as Alpha shouted at them. Didn't know Alpha had guests today. Is that why he wasn't at dinner? If that was the reason, he would have told me to make them dinner separate.

Watching as the cars began to drive away, my eyes shifted back to Alpha. He looked annoyed and his face was all red. His eyes were bright yellow which sent shivers down my spine.

Alpha isn't one to easily lose his temper so much that his wolf takes control. Best hide and stay out of his way. The slightest mistake can sent him over the edge.

Quickly but quietly, I turned around only to get grabbed by the neck tightly. Gasping for air and gripping the hand, I looked up to see Elijah staring down at me with a snarl. "What the hell do you think you're doing, huh?"

The words can't come out. His grip is so strong. I can't breathe! Tears forming in my eyes, my nails dug into Elijah's hand which didn't do much. He didn't even notice.

Whenever the words try to escape me, it came out as choking noise. Elijah looked irritated by that and soon let me go.

Air filled my lungs and I went crashing to the ground, coughing. "Pathetic. Can't even handle a little bit of choking."

My head lowered. "Forgive me, young master." I wheezed out, a couple tears rolling down my cheeks. My neck aches and rubbing it isn't doing much.

Multiple footsteps strolled over to us. Lifting my head only slightly, I saw that it was Elijah's friends. Great.

"Hey, Elijah, having fun without us?" One smirked, hands in his pockets as he stared down at me. It's the Beta's eldest son, Finn.

Along beside him was Aiden, his younger brother, and Max, the Gamma's nephew, his only living relative. Being alone with these four never ends up going well for me.

"Hey, Finny." Elijah sighed. Now I was surrounded and there was no way to escape. "I just caught this little bitch spying on my dad." I wasn't.

"Really?" Aiden looked at Elijah, who nodded his head, then back at me. "We should teach her a lesson then."

Feeling their eyes tracing over my shaking form, the feeling that I was in big trouble grew. And that feeling was right.

They punched, kicked, pull, and so much more. In the end, the boys laughed as they walked away from my bruised and bloody body.

Everything hurts. I could feel the new bruises forming and that some of the lashes on my back reopened and are now bleeding.

Holding back gasp of pain, wobbly I sat up, my trembling hand wiped the blood from underneath my nose.

When Elijah and his friends turned the corner, I slowly got up onto my feet, ignoring the agonizing pain whenever I moved even the slightest bit.

Leaning against the wall and holding my side, I gridded my teeth on being on my very damaged leg but steadily dragged myself to my room.

No one was in the hall to see the poor excuse of myself which made me glad. The pack shouldn't see me like this. Again.

Closing the door behind me, I went over to my bed and laid down. Curling up with my arms wrapped around me.

Elijah is gonna tell Alpha that I was being bad and I'm gonna get punished again. Thinking about it made the heavy feeling of dread return.

Alpha is already mad and when he finds out about when I've done, he's gonna be furious. He's gonna be more harsh on me. I can already feel the lashes that's coming.

The marks on my back aren't even finished healing yet, they just got reopened. At this rate, Alpha is gonna kill me. Not that him or the pack would mind.

I bet, everyone, especially Elijah, would celebrate that the weak, runt nuisance if finally gone. The only person that might be sad would be Maya. She's the only person that's even been nice to me.

Holding back sniffles with tears rolling down my face, I curled myself up even more despite the pain, and closed my eyes, falling asleep after a while.

Don't know how long I was asleep, but the sounds of shouting and fighting woke me up. Rubbing my tired eyes, I pushed myself up. What's going on?

A blood curdling scream filled the air and I froze.

My eyes widened, the tiredness gone and I stared at the closed door intensely. Not taking my eyes off it. The smell of blood and smoke filled my scents which made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.

There was no window for me to see what was happening outside, not that I could see anything anyways. My room was at the back of the pack house, hidden away.

There was another scream. Shrinking back, I crawled until my back hit the wall. Still not tearing my eyes off the door.

I just sat there in fear. Unable to move as the screams got louder and louder. And after a while, it went quiet.

There were sounds of people walking around the pack house with some coming up to the second floor.

Doors opened and things got tossed around and broke. Are they looking for something? Someone?Who? Where's Alpha?

The noises got louder. I kept my mouth shut, not making a sound as my heart pounded against my chest. My hands trembled.

Suddenly, the doorknob to my room twisted. My eyes widened and I froze, watching as the knob moved. Just as the door opened, the person on the other side stopped and walked away. A breath of relief escaped me.

The door suddenly slammed open, hitting the wall with a man standing in the doorway grinned at me. My breath caught in my throat as his red eyes stared into my soul.

A rogue.
