After my bath, Amber changed my bandages and gave me a pair of fresh clothes. Happiness filled me when smelling Azrael's scent on them.
Going back to my corner, I laid back down on the ground. A wave of exhaustion came over me and I couldn't help but to close my eyes and go back to sleep.
After a while, a hand was on my should and was shaking me. "Wake up, little one. I brought you some food." Groggy opening my eyes, I sat up and moan in pain. Feeling sore. I miss my cardboard bed, it's better than to sleep on the floor bare.
Rubbing my eyes, I looked over to see a tray of food. The aroma filled my nose but it wrinkled and I turned away, feeling slightly nauseous.
I just eat not that long ago. Why are they already giving me another meal? I didn't do anything to deserve this.
Noticing the bed, my head tilted to the side and my brows furrowed to see that it was made. The sheets seemed to be clean too. Who did it? I was supposed to do it.
Looking back at Amber, her head was slightly tilted as she stared at me. I blushed, snapping my head away from her and began to anxiously play with my fingers, ignoring the pain coming from my hand that was in the split.
"W-who made the bed?" My body tumbled as I spoke. There was a small hum from the old Shewold, "I did." I looked at Amber confused. "Why?" It's my job to do all the cleaning.
"Because I can, young one." She looked me straight in the eye, her eyes narrowed. "Do not question me." I gulped, feeling slightly afraid.
Amber isn't a high ranking wolf, right? She's very scary and intimidating. Almost like Azrael, but a little less...deadly? "Yes, ma'am!"
She stared at me for a moment longer before looking away, making me sigh in relief and relax. "Good, now, are you going to eat or do I have to give this meal to someone else?"
"I'm not hungry." Amber sighed, picking up the tray and slowly standing up. Going over to the broken door.
Just as she stepped out the room, I hesitate spoke out. "D-do you mind telling me where Azrael is? It's be a while since I seen her."
It's not even been a full day and I'm already missing her. The mating bond is no joke. I can feel it growing stronger at every passing second.
Amber paused right where she was, turning back to me with her normal expressionless expression every time I look at her. "She's training the warriors, I can bring you to her if you wish."
I don't mind seeing Azrael, my body aches to feel her touch again but the other wolves here might make fun of her for being mates to a Runt. It'll probably be best to stay here and out of sight.
Just as I went to shake my head, there were loud footsteps. Looking up, Leo popped his head in the room, starting over at me with a smile. "Little Shewolf, I need you."
Unconsciously, I stood up from the ground and limped over to Leo, ignoring the pain while keeping my head down. My face hidden behind my hair. "And why did you need this young one?"
"Alpha Azrael is being a real stick in the mud and is being absolutely ruthless out on the training grounds." Azrael? Is something the matter with her? Is the okay!
My fangs dug into my lip while my nails dug into my palm. Worry bubbling inside. "The Alpha is always ruthless when she's treating you bunch." Amber doesn't sound worry at all. By her tone, it sounds like she's used to this.
"Yeah, but she's taking it to a whole new level." Leo whined. "It's brutal out there. Don't be surprised when a few of the warriors come here to get treated."
My eyes widened by Leo when he picked up me and tossed by over his shoulder. He began walking away with Amber still standing at the doorway, looking slightly angry. "Be gentle with her, you foolish child! She's still injured!"
Leo waved her off, strolling down the hall. The last thing I saw before we turned the corner was Amber staring at the two of us disapprovingly.
Going down a flight of stairs, shocks of pain hit me at every step Leo took. I let out a small whine which he didn't notice. Too busy in his own world.
At the bottom of the stair case, we went over to the front door. I turned my head to see a couple shewolves staring at us in the kitchen, I think. It doesn't really look like a kitchen.
I quickly turned away from them as Leo opened the door and walked outside. The sun blinded me, causing me to squint my eyes closed while the giant Hewolf continued his journey.
When I got adjusted to the light, my eyes fluttered open. Still squinting my eyes as I looked around, seeing a bunch of people in fur clothing doing their own thing and a whole ton of wooden cabins. There were small fires with meat getting cooked, pups running around, and just things I've never seen before at my pack. Not that I even left the Pack house.
People were stopping what they were doing and staring at Leo and I which made me wonder why. At my Pack, no one paid any attention to the Runt. Why should they? I'm no one in their eyes, they shouldn't be wasting their time on a person like me.
Hearing a couple loud groans and people falling to the ground. I lifted myself up to look over Leo's shoulder where I saw Azrael fighting a few other Hewolves and Shewolves, all tall with a bunch of muscle but looked to be a little afraid at Azrael.
A group of wolves were already on the ground, moaning in pain as they held onto where they were injured.
Leo stopped right at the edge of the field. "Oh, Alpha Azrael! I have a gift for you!" He sang, making the tall, muscular Alpha pause mid punch before turned to look at us.
Her midnight eyes widened at seeing me over Leo's shoulder. She bared her teeth and let out a booming, angry roar that echoed across the land."MATE!"
