Staring down at the little wolf that was glaring up at me with a pout whilst sitting on my bed, trying her hardest to make me stay while my arms were crossed over my chest.

It's been two days since I've brought Iris to the base hidden with inside a mountain and since I've gotten that letter from Hawk about a surprise attack.

It's the full moon now and scouts have already informed me that they spotted a huge amount of wolves heading our way.

My wolf has become restless these past few days, both from the effects of the full moon and wanting to shift to cause bloodshed, and because my rut is near.

It has become more unbearable to deal with since my cute little mate is finally here. I've been holding myself back from ravishing her ever since I found her. I just want to pound her until she can't even remember her own name.

Thinking about it brings a smirk to my face and my pants becoming tight.

"Azrael, do you really have to go?" Iris's cute little voice begging me to stay is starting to make me just let Wren deal with the attack while I stay with my precious little mate and fuck her.

But as Alpha, it's my job to protect the pack from any harm from enemy packs. And the fact that the Council sent two of the strongest packs to deal with us really makes me want to rip them all to shreds.

I sighed, uncrossing my arms and placed a hand on my mate's cheek. "I must go, my little flower. I have to show these...trespasses not to mess with me or my pack."

Iris silently stared at me for a while, still cutely pouting until she gave up. She let out this adorable, angry huff. "Fine. But you better come back unharmed. I don't want to see a single injury on you." I chucked. A bossy little thing she is.

Leaning down, I moved some hair out of the way to press a kiss on her forehead. "I will return to you unscathed, my little mate."

There was a bright blush on Iris's cheeks. She said nothing as I moved away. "I'll return, Iris." Mumbling something under her breath, I went over to the door and opened it.

Stepping out and closing it behind me, I sighed again. The itchiness to shift became more unbearable, my wolf was growling and scratching to be released.

"Anassa Alpha." I turned my head to see Wren and his mate, River, walking up to me. Their daughter, Roxie, following. All three of their expression cold and undeterred.

Stopping a few feet away, they gave a small bow. "The Silver Fang and Pine Forest packs draw near. Let us go into position."

Nodding my head, I looked over at the two closest warriors. "Make sure no one enters this room. Protect your Luna with your life." They bowed. "Yes Alpha."

My wolf growled loudly, not wanting any harm to fall upon our mate. Not after looking for her for so long. She won't be taken from us so easily.

Turning around, I began walking down the hall. Going past Wren and his family, who followed after me. No one spoke as we headed outside.

Were my warriors waiting for my arrival. Many already in their wolf form while others patiently bide their time for the moon to come out.

I went to stand on the rock platform."Warriors of the Night!" Everyone turned their attention to me as Wren, River, and Roxie went into position in front of their groups. "Tonight, we show the intruders that dare trespass onto our land to slay us, not to mess or undermine The Wild Blood-Moon Pack!"

They all roared in excitement, thrill in their glowing red eyes that were easily to see in the dark. Just then, the moon finally revealed herself. Her light shining down on us from above the mountain.
