Looking away from Roxie when hearing doors open, I saw a group of werewolves come out and walk out of the entrance of the big doors in the mountain and were heading to our direction.

Az had stopped right where she was a few feet away from us, her back facing me as she stared at the people approaching us. Arms at her side.

There were three hewolves and two shewolves. There was a hewolf with brown hair, another who was a redhead, and the last being a blond. The shewolves were both brunettes.

They were all old, tall, scars all over, and were terrifying with this scary aura around them that meant these were people you shouldn't mess with.

What's scary is that their red eyes moved from Az to me, a few of them glared at me, looking me up and down, and sniffing their air to get my scent until Az moved to blocked their view.

Gulping, I quickly went to my mate and hid behind her. Tightly holding onto her fur jacket, peaking out to watch the small group as she stand there protectively.

Stopping a few feet away, the group of five bowed their heads in submission before lifting their heads. "It's great to have you back, Anassa Alpha." A shewolf to the left spoke first.

Anassa? What is that word? I've never heard it before. Looking up at Az, she wasn't faze with what the shewolf had said.

The older man in the middle with part of his red hair grey and a scar over his left eye noticed Roxie, turning his attention on her. "Roxie."

His voice was so cold and emotionless that it sent shivers down my spine. "Father." She nodded in response. Father!?

"Wren, I believe Hawk has already send you word of the upcoming attack?" So this is the man she was talking about?

The red hair hewolf turned his attention back to Az and nodded. "Yes, Anassa Alpha." Why do they keep saying that?

"Let us head inside and discuss the matter at hand." The group before us went to turn around to head inside but Az didn't move an inch and stopped them, making them pause. "Before we do that, there's something I have to say first."

They turned back to her. "What is it. Anassa Alpha?"

"The girl next to me is my mate." Some eyes widened at that, snapping their gaze at me which made me blush and hide behind my mate. "If anyone touches her, I won't hesitate to kill them."
My head snapped up to look at her.

I know mates get overprotective over each other but I think she's doing way too much-wait...didn't she already tear someone head off for touching me when we first met? Yeah no, she probably won't hesitate in doing it again.

Which means I have to be careful before I accidentally get someone killed. What a pain.

"Of course, Anassa Alpha. No one would dare to hurt the Luna." Az kept quiet, staring at the red head hewolf as he bowed his head again. "Now. Shall we go?"

Without saying a word, Az took my small hand into hers, interlocking our fingers and began walking towards the open doors, taking me with her with my face beet red.

The others silently followed after us, putting some distance between themselves and Az and I. They didn't give any signs of being afraid or any reason on why they were keeping away from us.

After a moment of thinking, I just shrugged my shoulders and turned back around just as we stepped into the mountain and into complete darkness.

Walking deeper, sounds of everyone's footsteps echoed through the massive passageway. I was startled when the giant doors closed, the slamming scared me so I cling onto Az.

Which she didn't seem to mind. Her grip on my hand tightened a little in a comforting way. Leaning into her, I looked around.

The hallway was made out of stone, really big and dark. The only light was by fire that hanged on the wall. Wouldn't it be better if they used electricity? It's better and more safer to use than burning fire.

Kind of reminds of the video games Elijah and his friends use to play back at the pack on the big tv. They use to use me as a footstool to rest their feet while they played.

It was very boring.

Feeling something not stone under my bare feet, my mind snapped back to the real world and I looked down to see a pretty carpet.

Lifting my gaze and looking around, it seems like we existed the tunnel and were now in a much  brighter place that was somewhat noisy.

It was plain, the only things being were lines of doors on both sides with a few other people standing around, talking to each other.

They quickly noticed us and bowed, keeping quiet as we walked past them. The further we went into this strange and ridiculously large place, the more and more there were people.

All bowing, and looking at me with their red eyes full of surprise, shock, or suspicion. Can't really blame them, I'm an unknown runt with their  Alpha holding my hand and a group of very terrifying wolves following us.

I'll be shock is no one didn't stare.

But that didn't stop me from hiding my face against Az's arm, I felt her gaze on me but didn't say anything. I wonder what's up with her, she hasn't said much to me after we got here. Is she upset? Did I do something wrong?

We just made up just a couple of hours ago and I just had to mess it up. So stupid. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. Why can't I do anything right?

Feeling a hand on my shoulder, I looked up at Az to see her looking down at me. Her red eyes full of gentleness and calm.

Turning my head, that's when I realized that we were standing in front of one of the many closed doors. I looked back at Az confused, tilted my head. She softly sighed.

"I need you to stay here as I attend this meeting. You'll be safe, this is one of my private rooms. No one but me may enter."

A small whine left me, not caring that other people were present and could hear me. "I want to stay with you, Az."

She chucked, making me huff. "I want you to stay with me as well, little mate. But, this meeting is very dark, not something your innocent mind should hear." Is her meeting gonna be that bad?

Staring at Az for a minute, I gave in. "Fine." She smiled, opening the door for me and I strolled in. The room was a common waiting room with wooden chairs and table in the middle and some coaches off to the side.

Turning back to my mate, she leaned down and moved my hair out of the way to place a kiss on my forehead. "Wait here." Before I could say anything, the door was already closed and the sound of it locking filled the room.

Sighing, I touched the place where she kissed me with a blush. So means

Turning around and going over to the table, I took a seat. Resting my head on said table and closed my eyes. Guess I just have to wait here.
