Waking up on the floor again, my entire body ached. I really miss my cardboard bed. That was much better than sleeping on the hard floor.

Sitting up and stretching, pain from my wounds hit and a small gasp left me. Softly groaning while rubbing my back.

Hearing the door unlock and open, my head turned to see Amber come in with a tray of food. Azrael no where in sight. Did she lie about taking me outside with her last night?

A deep, sad frown appeared on my face as Amber sat the tray down on the table. "Alpha Azrael should be here in just a little while. She asked me to feed you before she comes to get you." Oh.

Turning to me, hands together in front of her, Amber tilted her head to the side while staring at me. Without wasting a single moment, I got up from the floor and limped over to her before taking a seat.

It seems that my ankle is healing nicely to the point that I can walk semi normal. Just hurts a little when I step on it. Should be fine in a couple of days, the same with my hand.

Not doing anything is making my body heal much more faster than normal. It's nice but super boring at the same time.

Most of the cuts and bruises are gone, the only things left are the whip marks on my back and the nearly faded bruise on my neck when Elijah chocked me for spying on Alpha.

I wonder how they're doing.

"Are you gonna eat, or not?" Snapping out of my head, I turned to Amber and looked up at her. Giving a small nervous smile to the older shewolf before turning back to the tray.

This morning there's scrambled eggs and bacon, and always a cup of water. It still confuses me on why they use wooden utensils and not the metal ones. Do they not have any or do they not want to use them in me?

Picking up the wooden fork, I scooped up a little bit of the eggs and ate it. Chewing on it, my entire body felt nauseous.

Eating that meat last night filled me a lot and now I have to eat this a few hours later? It's like they're trying to kill me by overfeeding me and it's working.

Hearing the door open again, both me and Amber turned to see Azrael walk in. Looking much more better than last night but still had the expression of sadness.

She walking over to us, standing right beside Amber while looking down at me. Her gaze shifted over to the food, staying quiet as if trying to figure out what to say.

Still slowly chewing, I grabbed the bacon from my plate and handed it to her. Azrael glanced at the food confused before looking at me, brows furrowed.

Swallowing, I spoke. "You look hungry. Did you even eat yet?" A small blush grew on the Alpha's cheeks with the tips of her ears turning red. I hold back a giggle.

Rubbing the back of her neck embarrassed, she reached out and took the bacon from me. Making me smile, watching as the Alpha nibbled on it. Which just made her look exactly cute.

Wait-cute? Did I just call an Alpha cute? That's so embarrassing!

Feeling my cheeks immediately turn red, my head snapped away to the side to avoid looking at Azrael. Shifting uncomfortable in my seat.

There was a small sigh. "The two of you act like tiny pups." Before either me or Azrael could say anything, Amber grabbed me by the back of the shirt and pulled me up from my seat.

Azrael looked shocked for just a split second, then, her face grew hard and she growled at the Shewolf who just rolled her eyes and gently pushed me over to the Alpha.

"If the two of you don't leave now, then you'll be in here for the rest of the day. Now get." Amber's eyes narrowed and I gulped, leaning against Azrael.

Feeling Azrael arm wrap around my waist, my eyes widened and a small gasp escaped me when she lifted me up. Carrying me with just a single arm.

Unconsciously, I grabbed the Alpha by her fur jacket and tightly held onto it. Staring down at the ground slightly afraid that I might fall. Why did she have to be so tall? She's over a foot my height.

With Amber glaring at us, Azrael turned and walked out of the room with me still being held by her. My blush worsened when she went down the stairs and out the door. Paying no mind to the people she pasted.

Outside, I winced by how bright and warm it was and spun around to hide my face in Azrael's neck. She seemed shocked for a moment before she roughly chucked, her chest rumbled against me.

"Don't laugh at me." I whined, moving away from her neck to glare up at the bully of an Alpha. Smiling, she nodded her head. "Of course, my apologies, my adorable little flower. Forgive me." A grumped left me. She still picking on me.

Giving me one last smile, Azrael's face fell to a cold one that sent shivers of fear down my spine. Looking ahead, she began to walk.

By that time my eyes have gotten adjusted to the light and began looking around. There were a lot of people wearing fur clothing out doing their own set of chores. Either it be cleaning or preparing food.

Whenever they saw Azrael, all of them would stop what they were doing and instantly bow their heads. Which makes sense she's an Alpha.

Young pups ran over and surrounded us. "Alpha! Alpha!" They cried, grabbing Azrael by her legs which forced her to stop. She looked down at them with a giant grin.

Then, she let out a loud, playful growl. The pups bursted out laughing and began to run away, not before one of them snatched the piece of bacon out of Azrael's hand.

She just shook her head at them, not looking the slightest bit of angry. "You're really good with pups."

Azrael smiled at me. "Of course. After all, they're the most precious things in a pack. Each and every one of them. So innocent and carefree." Really? How strange.

Going back to our walk, it didn't take long to reach a familiar training grounds where a whole bunch of wolves were sparring one another. And there were some familiar faces.

Are those the teens from the Goldren River Pack? What are they doing here?

Off to the side was Leo with his arms crossed while watching them. Shouting at any mistakes he saw which were a lot.

Walking up to him, he sighed. Rubbing the back of his head as he mumbled something under his breath. I only caught a few words like "newbies", "can't fight" and "more training".

"Gamma Leo." Leo turned to look at us and his entire demeanor lit up. "Hey, Alpha." He grinned.

Azrael stood right beside him, looking at the wolves fighting. "How is it going?" He shrugged. "Not that good, the newbies don't have any fighting experience. Seems like the traitors have gotten soft. I don't think they can even fight off a Hunter."

Humming, Azrael went deep into thought. "Get more rough if you have to then."

"Are you sure about that, Alpha? I'm already..." Glancing at my mate, Leo's eyes suddenly went wide and his mouth snapped shut. "Of course, Alpha! Whatever you say." What was that about? Looking up at Azrael, she just smiled at me.

Leo turned back to the warriors. "Warrior of the Night!" They all paused, looking over at him. "Let's show these newbies how to really fight, don't go easy on them!"

Most of them grinned, going back to fighting but much more brutal this time. Azrael watched for a minute before turning around and began to leave.

Looking over her shoulder to continue watching, I couldn't help but feel bad for the young wolves getting their asses kicked.
