Chapter Song - Lady Antebellum - "Need you now"
____
After a long day of apartment hunting, visiting one town after another, the girls finally settled on a luxurious apartment near Shibuya Station. Thanks to the Kocho parents, who had connections with the building's owners, they were able to negotiate the rent down to a reasonable price that each girl could afford. To celebrate their success, they went out for a late lunch at a sushi place not far from their new apartment.
"We did it, girls! A toast to our future and to Mitsuri finally living happily ever after with OBANAI," Kanae teased as they raised their Coca-Colas in a cheerful toast.
"Sis, Mitsuri hasn't even left her boyfriend yet. Let's take it one step at a time. Also, we can't stay too long. I'm meeting Tomioka after this," Shinobu said, sipping her drink while browsing the menu.
Kanae giggled. "I know, but let's still celebrate that things are falling into place. I'm so excited to move out and be free. Speaking of which, our move-in date is next weekend. Should we hire movers to help with our stuff?"
"I don't know about that. I'm a little low on cash after the deposit. Maybe our boyfriends can help?" Shinobu wondered.
Mitsuri panicked. "Oh, I think I'll just move my stuff by myself. My boyfriend isn't exactly going to help me, especially if I'm about to break up with him," she said nervously.
The girls exchanged confused looks before giggling.
"Mitsuri, we're not talking about him. We're talking about Iguro. He'd say yes in a heartbeat just to see that guy crawl back into his room," Shinobu said with a smirk.
"Do you know what happened after we left that night?" Mitsuri asked.
"Apparently, Sanemi and Iguro had a little 'discussion' with him. One thing led to another, and well, Iguro might've injured his shoulder," Kanae said, waving to the waiter to let him know they were ready to order.
Mitsuri thought back to that night. It finally answered her questions about what had happened, but she couldn't shake the feeling that she had set it all in motion. She needed to find a way to leave him, but how? What was she supposed to do?
After an hour of eating, it was time to go. Mitsuri said her goodbyes to the Kocho sisters and headed to her meeting spot to meet Iguro. Since it wasn't far, Mitsuri decided to walk instead of taking the train for just one stop. Lost in thought, she tried to figure out the best way to break up with her boyfriend. Should she tell him now and live with him for a week until move-in day? Or wait until the day she moves out, leaving him speechless and unable to make a scene, with the boys nearby to support her?
As she walked in silence, she felt a tap on her shoulder. It was none other than Iguro himself.
"Oh! Iguro! Am I early?" She checked her phone, surprised to find she was still on time.
"Not at all. I live nearby, so I decided to leave early," Iguro said, pointing with his thumb in the direction of his apartment.
Mitsuri smiled. "Oh, that's near where our new apartment is!" she giggled, making Iguro smile back.

Coffee Shop
The two arrived at a coffee shop they had never been to before. The atmosphere was cozy and warm, with leather booths and couches near the windows. They chose to sit on the couches facing each other at the far back of the shop. As they reached their seats, a waiter came over to take their orders. Mitsuri ordered a hot brown sugar oat milk espresso, while Iguro opted for a simple black coffee. The air between them was awkward and quiet, but there was a simmering tension—they both desired each other.
