The morning sun crept over the horizon, casting a soft, golden glow through the window, filling Kanae's room with a fragile sense of peace. Still held within Sanemi's arms, Kanae stirred, blinking sleepily as she adjusted to the morning light. She caressed his cheek as he opened his eyes, heavy with exhaustion.

"Darling... did you stay up all night?" Kanae whispered, rubbing her eyes as worry evident in her voice.

Sanemi's gaze into her eyes, his expression troubled. "Yeah... I couldn't shake off what happened last night," he muttered. "Something in me is telling me there's more to him following you girls."

Kanae could see the tension in his face, the lines of worry that hadn't softened since Doma had appeared. Gently, she pulled him into her arms, brushing her fingers through his hair as she whispered, "You need to rest, love. Please... just nap for a while. I'm right here."

After a brief hesitation, Sanemi finally allowed himself to sink into her embrace. Her warmth eased some of the tension in his body, and as his head rested against her shoulder, his eyes grew heavier. Within moments, his breathing slowed, and he surrendered to the exhaustion that had been gnawing at him. Kanae held him close, heart pounding, still haunted by the image of Doma's sinister smile outside her window.

Across the apartment, in Mitsuri's room, the soft clatter of someone moving in the kitchen stirred them awake. Obanai's eyes snapped open immediately, his body tense and alert as he positioned himself protectively in front of Mitsuri. She stirred beside him, half-awake and disoriented.

"I think that's Shinobu, she's always the first to wake up" Mitsuri whispered, grabbing her phone to check Shinobu's location. Relief flooded her as she saw Shinobu's dot pinged from their apartment—she was home.

Obanai exhaled, his gaze fixed on the door, which was thankfully still locked. He ran a hand over his face, feeling the exhaustion from last night weigh on him.

"Should we... should we all go to my family's onsen for the weekend?" Mitsuri suggested, her voice trembling slightly. "Maybe... maybe that'll throw Doma off."
