This special takes place during the time the girls lived together. It's a short and simple story, I hope you can enjoy!

A/N - I'll try to finish editing these specials but I don't promise it'll be long. Probably short like these! 💖

🍁Fall🍁

Obanai shuffled to the door of his apartment, slightly groggy after an early nap. He had spent the past few days on high alert due to the ongoing threat of Doma, and his body welcomed any chance to rest he could get. As he made his way through the apartment to unlocked the door, he heard the door close and light footsteps approaching his way.

Mitsuri stood at the main door removing her shoes and jacket. Her schoolbag hung over one shoulder, and her pink and green hair was tied back loosely, a few strands sticking to her slightly damp forehead.

"Hi, Obanai! I thought I'd surprise you and spend the weekend here!" she chirped, her voice bright but slightly breathless.

Obanai's sharp eyes immediately caught the unusual flush on her cheeks. She wasn't just her usual rosy self—her face was a deep shade of red. His eyes narrowed with concern.

"Mitsuri, are you feeling okay?" he asked, stepping closer to her and placed his hand on her forehead. "You're burning up!"

"I'm fine!" she insisted, laughing softly. "It's just a little warm outside."

"It's 40 degrees outside Mits" Obanai saw through her lie.

Before Mitsuri could say anything the wobble in her step betrayed her words. As she moved into the apartment, her knees buckled, and she let out a light giggle. "Oh, oops... I think I'm just a little—"

Before she could finish, she collapsed toward him. Obanai darted forward and caught her just in time, his arms wrapping protectively around her.

"Mitsuri!" he called out.

Her head lolled slightly against his chest as she looked up at him with half-lidded eyes. "I'm okay, Obi," she murmured, her tone soft and dreamlike. "Just a little tired... I promise."

"You're burning up," he muttered, more to himself than her. He sighed and carefully lifted her into his arms, her schoolbag slipping to the floor. She felt surprisingly light, her warmth seeping through his clothes.

He carried her to his bedroom, and gently laid her on the bed, brushing a strand of hair from her flushed face. She stirred slightly, her lips curling into a faint smile.

"Your bed is so cozy," she murmured. "I'm glad I came..."

"It better be cozy. I spent $1,799 on this king size purple mattress." He mumbled to himself. "You should've told me you weren't feeling well." His voice soft but laced with worry.

"I didn't want to worry you," she whispered, her voice barely audible. "I wanted to see you..."

Obanai's chest tightened at her words. He sighed and pulled the blanket over her before heading to the bathroom to fetch a damp cloth. When he returned, she was still smiling faintly, her eyes fluttering open just enough to watch him as he gently placed the cool cloth on her forehead.

"You don't have to fuss over me, Obanai," she said weakly, though her expression showed how much she appreciated his care.

"You're impossible," he muttered, though there was no malice in his tone. Sitting on the edge of the bed, he adjusted the cloth and leaned closer, studying her face. "You've probably been pushing yourself too hard at work, haven't you?"

Mitsuri pouted slightly. "Maybe a little... But I need the extra money for this years Christmas! I didn't think it was that bad..."

Obanai's gaze softened. He reached out, brushing his fingers gently along her cheek. "You need to take care of yourself. I can't watch you like this without feeling... useless."
