The sound of Mitsuri's strained, muffled cries echoed through the halls as Doma dragged her, her body sliding roughly across the dusty floor. He held her by the hair, pulling it mercilessly, his fingers digging into her scalp with cruel force. Mitsuri's face was pale, tear-streaked, and bloodied from the earlier assault, but her eyes burned with defiance. Despite the pain, despite her weakened state, she refused to give Doma the satisfaction of seeing her broken."You know, you made this all too easy to kill you both." Doma sneered, his voice laced with amusement as he yanked her closer to the room he had shared with Misaki. His laughter rang through the halls, like a twisted symphony of torment.
He reached the door and shoved it open with a loud creak. Inside, Misaki stood near the center of the room, her face was expressionless, but there was something in her eyes—amusement—at the thought that Obanai could be close.
"Sit her down," Misaki commanded, his voice sharp and venomous.
Doma's grip on Mitsuri tightened even further, his fingers digging cruelly into her head as he forced her fully onto her knees. Mitsuri's breath hitched, panic clawing at her throat, but she refused to crumble completely. Her chest heaved with shallow breaths, but her resolve burned bright, even as her strength wavered.
"You're trembling, my dear," Doma cooed mockingly, his lips curling into a twisted smile as he knelt to her level. His hand brushed against her cheek again, lingering this time, as if savoring her anguish.
"Don't touch me!" Mitsuri snapped, jerking her face away, but it only earned her a dark chuckle.
"Oh, brave little bunny," Doma murmured, his voice dripping with venomous amusement. "But bravery won't save you now. He won't save you." He leaned in close, his breath warm against her ear. "Especially not when I kill him first."
Mitsuri's heart pounded as the words sank in, fear and guilt twisting inside her. Her voice broke as she blurted out, "I—I thought if I gave myself up... you'd let him go! You promised me you'd be satisfied with me—wasn't that what you wanted?!"
Misaki laugh was sharp, cruel. She stood, towering over her as though she were a god looking down on a pitiful mortal. "Oh, sweet, sweet Mitsuri. Did you really think I'd keep my word? I don't want just you. I want the satisfaction of taking everything from him." Her grin widened, "And watching you break in the process? That's just the cherry on top."
Tears welled in Mitsuri's eyes, but she blinked them back, her jaw clenching. "You... you won't win," she hissed, the fire in her voice flickering but alive.
"Oh, little bunny," Doma sneered, gripping her chin roughly and forcing her to look into his cold, dead eyes. "Don't look at me like that," Doma chuckled darkly. "All this is your fault, his death is his fault. And after we're done with you, we'll come after the others. Now that'll be my game to take over. "
The knife in his hand glinted once more, a twisted smile playing at his lips as he traced its edge along Mitsuri's throat. Just as he was about to press the knife against her skin, the door suddenly burst open with a deafening crash, the sound of wood splintering under a powerful force. Obanai stormed into the room, his eyes wild with fury, his hands still tight around his gun.
Misaki's eyes lit up, not with fear, but with unhinged excitement, her lips curling into a delighted grin. She had been waiting for this moment, yearning for it. The thought of Obanai standing before her, his fury burning bright, sent a thrill down her spine.
