The faint glow of Mitsuri's phone illuminated the early morning darkness, drawing her from her slumber. She blinked groggily, her lashes fluttering as she adjusted to the light. Setting the phone aside, she turned over to find Obanai lying face down beside her, his arms cradling the pillow close to his face, his hair a tousled curtain that shielded his features.

A soft smile spread across her lips as she propped herself up on one elbow, her gaze sweeping over him. The quilt rested low on his back, revealing most of his bare, toned body, the fabric barely covering his hips. She studied him for a moment, taking in his relaxed form. This was a rare sight—Obanai at peace, unguarded, and vulnerable in the quiet intimacy of the morning.

As her eyes roamed, something caught her attention. On his left trap, was a tattoo she hadn't seen before. A striking white snake with its fangs bared, coiled as if ready to strike. Mitsuri's breath hitched, and she leaned closer, her fingers hovering above the ink.

"When did you get this?" she whispered to herself, her voice soft and curious.

She gently touched the snake's lips, her fingers tracing the sharp fangs. The detail was incredible, the way the snake seemed alive against his skin. It reminded her so much of Obanai himself—quiet, elegant, and undeniably dangerous. Her admiration deepened, not just for the tattoo but for the man who bore it.

Her gaze wandered further, tracing the lines of his muscles. His back was broader than she remembered, his shoulders more defined. Mitsuri's brows furrowed slightly as a playful thought crossed her mind. "Has he been working out without telling me?" she mused, her cheeks warming as her fingers trailed lightly down his back.

The gentle touch stirred him, and a low, sleepy groan escaped his lips. He shifted slightly, his face burrowing deeper into the pillow as he mumbled, "Mitsuri... It's so early in the morning, what's going on?"

A soft giggle bubbled up from her chest, and she leaned down, resting her chin lightly on his shoulder. "I couldn't help it," she said, her voice teasing. "The light from my phone woke me up... and then I saw this." Her fingers returned to the tattoo, tracing it gently.

Obanai grumbled into the pillow, his voice muffled but warm. "Didn't think you'd notice right away," he admitted, turning his face just enough to peek at her with one half-open eye.

"Of course I noticed it! It's big!" Mitsuri replied, her voice bright and affectionate. "It's hard to miss something so... you." She smiled, her fingers lingering on the ink. "When did you get it?"

"A few weeks ago, after our trip" he murmured, his voice thick with sleep. "Thought it suited me."

"It definitely does," she said softly, her tone filled with admiration. "It's so you—calm, collected, and maybe just a little dangerous. At this rate, you'll start looking like a Yukuza boss. Kinda hot."

He let out a soft huff, his lips curving into a faint smirk. "A hot dangerous Yukuza boss huh? Should I be worried you think that?"

Mitsuri giggled, leaning down to press a featherlight kiss to the tattoo. "Not at all. I love it," she said, her voice dropping to a whisper. "I love you."

Obanai turned his head fully now, his mismatched eyes watching her as she gazed at him with affection. His hair fell messily over his face, and she reached out to brush it aside.

Her fingers, however, didn't stop there. They trailed down to his shoulder, then his arm, before coming to rest on his chest. "Obanai..." she began, her voice teasing, "I've also noticed you've been working out. You look so— buff now." Her eyes filled with desire over his body.

A faint blush crept up his cheeks as he averted his gaze, his smirk faltering into something shyer. "Y-yea, just a little bit." he admitted quietly.

"How come? You already look great." she pressed, her tone playful but curious.
