Chapter Song: Minho - "Falling Free"
_______June 1st
Mitsuri hesitated for a moment, her pink luggage clutched tightly in her hand. She searched her father's face for any sign of softness, any hint that he might let her leave without a fight. But his features were carved from stone, his eyes cold and distant.
"You're making a mistake, he dangerous Mitsuri." Hiroshi said finally, his voice low and sharp.
Mitsuri straightened her back, her heart pounding. "I'm sorry we can't see eye to eye," she replied, her voice quivering, "but if you think it's a mistake, than it's my mistake to make. I love him, Dad. I will never leave him."
Hiroshi's jaw tightened, but he said nothing more. His silence felt heavier than any argument, but Mitsuri refused to let it deter her. She turned her back on him, stepping out through the door and into the fresh morning air.
Rumi and the twins were waiting in the driveway, their faces a mix of anxiety and determination. Hikari immediately rushed to take Mitsuri's luggage, rolling it quickly towards the waiting taxi car. "Come on! You'll miss the train!" she said, her tone light but her eyes serious.
Mitsuri nodded, though her hands were trembling. "I don't know if I can face him like this," she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper.
Ayame slipped her hand into Mitsuri's, giving it a reassuring squeeze. "You can," she said softly. "You've come this far, and you're stronger than you think. I'm sure he'll understand."
Rumi stepped forward, brushing a stray strand of hair from Mitsuri's face. "You'll be okay," she said, her voice thick with emotion. "I know you will. And if you need anything—anything at all—you call me. Promise?"
Mitsuri nodded, tears welling in her eyes. "Thank you, Mom. For everything."
Rumi smiled through her own tears, pulling her daughter into a tight embrace. "I love you, sweetheart. Be happy, okay? That's all I've ever wanted for you."
With a deep breath, Mitsuri climbed into the car waving her family goodbye as the car drove off.

The train ride to Shibuya was agonizingly quiet. Mitsuri sat alone in her section, her fingers trembling as she gripped her phone. She dialed Obanai's number, her heart racing. It rang and rang, but there was no answer. She tried again, and again, each call ending with the same deafening silence.
"Please, Obanai, pick up," she whispered to herself, her voice breaking. Panic crept into her chest, tightening her throat.
Desperate, Mitsuri scrolled through her contacts and pressed Kanae's name. Her hands shook as the phone rang, and she prayed her friend would answer.
Over at Kanae's Apartment
The soft morning light filtered through the curtains as Kanae and Sanemi slept peacefully. It was 8 a.m., and the world outside their window was just beginning to stir. Sanemi lay shirtless, his arm draped protectively over Kanae, his hand resting on her pregnant belly, his face buried in her hair.
The sudden buzz of Kanae's phone broke the silence, vibrating on the bedside table. She stirred, squinting at the screen. The name flashing on the caller ID made her heart leap. "Mitsuri?!" she gasped, sitting up so abruptly that Sanemi's arm slipped off her.
Sanemi propped himself up on one elbow, his eyes half-open. "What's going on?" he mumbled, his voice groggy.
Kanae ignored him, her hand trembling as she answered the call. "Mitsuri, is that you?!"
