It was Halloween week, and the girls hit the club for a Halloween-themed night to clear their minds and have fun, with Giyu coming along as himself of course in a dark red sweater with black pants with black boots. The girls dressed as the iconic trio from Mean Girls. Mitsuri wore a sexy black lingerie dress with black shorts, gray boots, and mouse ears. Shinobu sported a sleek black catsuit with cat ears and black low boots. Kanae donned a white corset, black shorts, bunny ears, and white knee-high boots.

The neon lights outside the club flickered against the darkened street as Mitsuri, Shinobu, Kanae, and Giyu stepped out of the cab, the low hum of music vibrating through the pavement. The line to the entrance snaked around the corner, but with their reservations, they breezed past and entered the club. The heavy bass of the song "The Motto" by Ava Max & Tiesto hit them immediately, pulsing through their bodies as they stepped inside.

Mitsuri, finally out of her depression and eager to have fun, grinned widely. "This place looks amazing! Let's hit the dance floor!" She grabbed Kanae and Shinobu's hands, dragging them through the crowd, already swaying to the music as Giyu walked over to the bar where the boys were sitting.

Kanae allowed herself to be pulled along into the lively atmosphere, Mitsuri hoped dancing would distract her from the thoughts swirling in her mind for the past weeks and Shinobu, more composed but still smiling, followed, her gaze briefly flicking toward the bar where they had agreed to meet the boys later on.

At the bar, Sanemi and Obanai were already waiting, chatting while keeping an eye out for the rest of the group. Sanemi, dressed in a black-and-white flannel over a white shirt, dark jeans, and brown boots, leaned his back against the counter, arms crossed, scanning the crowd with casual disinterest. Beside him, Obanai stood with one hand in his pockets while the other held his jacket. Wearing a black and white striped shirt, silver necklaces, black pants, and black boots. His hair was tied back with a few loose strands falling around his face. His expression softened slightly when he spotted Mitsuri leading the girls to the dance floor.

"About time they showed up," Sanemi muttered, smirking as he nudged Obanai. "Looks like the girls are already having fun."

Obanai nodded, his eyes glued to Mitsuri. A small, nearly imperceptible smile played on his lips as he watched her spin and twirl to the rhythm. "Yeah." He was happy to see she was in good spirits, though his gaze carried a weight of unspoken emotions.

Meanwhile, on the dance floor, Kanae moved with effortless grace, fully immersed in the music. Shinobu, though less exuberant, danced along, allowing herself to be swept up in the fun. Mitsuri swayed with them, her movements smooth and elegant, but her mind was elsewhere.

From across the dance floor, Mitsuri's eyes drifted toward the bar. Her gaze settled on Obanai, who stood there, silhouetted by the dim club lights. She missed him—missed talking to him, being close to him. But a deep sadness lingered in her heart, holding her back. Every time she thought about going over to him, she hesitated, unsure if she could break through the wall of emotions that had built between them for so long.

Mitsuri sighed softly, while Kanae's laughter echoed beside her, distant, as if Mitsuri were in a bubble, watching from afar.

Despite Obanai's best efforts to keep his focus on the conversation, he couldn't help but glance at Mitsuri out of the corner of his eye. She looked beautiful as ever, glowing in the club's flashing lights. But something about her expression tugged at him—she looked distant, even as she danced. He knew that sadness well; he had been carrying the same weight for weeks.

He wanted to go to her, to close the growing distance between them, but he didn't know how. The air between them felt thick with unsaid words, and the longer he let it linger, the harder it became to break through.
