Later that day

Sanemi and Obanai returned from the store, carrying a couple of cameras they'd bought to increase security at the girls' apartment. Without wasting any time, Sanemi set to work, positioning one camera at Kanae's window to cover the front entrance of the building and the exact spot where Doma had been seen standing before. Meanwhile, Obanai installed the second camera in the living room, facing the entire living space, the kitchen, and the main door.

Giyu had arrived at the apartment about an hour earlier and stood watch near the living room balcony sliding door, keeping an eye on the surroundings. In her room, Shinobu quietly packed her things. She had decided to stay at her parents' house temporarily since she and Giyu weren't planning to join the others on the trip to the springs. Instead, they chose to stay back and keep an eye on the apartment in case anything happened.

Sanemi wiped his hands after securing the camera and glanced toward Kanae. "That should do it," he muttered, testing the connection on his phone to ensure the camera feed was working.

Obanai finished adjusting his camera and check the camera through the phone. "This should cover all the blind spots. If he tries anything, it'll be recorded."

Giyu nodded, his voice calm but firm. "Good. This place is feels safer now."

In the background, Shinobu emerged from her room with her packed bag filled with her weekend clothes as she placed it on the floor near her bedroom door. "I  feel better now knowing the cameras are set up." she said, her voice quieter than usual. She glanced at Giyu. "It's not a lot of protection, but it'll record everything if he tries anything."

Sanemi flopped down onto the couch, and sighed. "Finally, we've done something proactive. That restraining order's a start, but these cameras makes a big difference."

Obanai crossed his arms, leaning against the wall. "It's not perfect, but it's better than nothing. At least now we can keep an eye on things. But let's not get too comfortable. Restraining orders don't guarantee he'll listen"

Mitsuri sat at the dinning table beside him, holding onto her notebook tightly. "It feels like I can breathe again... but I just wish he'd stay away."

Giyu leaned quietly against the wall, looked over at her. "That's why I'm here. While the guys are at work, I'll stay here to make sure there's no chance for him to pull anything."

Obanai placed a reassuring hand on Mitsuri's shoulder. "Don't worry mitsuri, Giyu's got it covered tonight till we get tonight."

Sanemi gave a short nod, his usual brashness softened slightly. "Yeah, so don't worry too much. If anything feels off, Giyu will handle it."

The girls exchanged a glance, visibly relaxing at the boys' reassurances.

"Thank you, all of you," Mitsuri said quietly, managing a small smile. "Just knowing someone will be here is reassuring."

"Of course," Giyu replied with a slight nod, his voice calm. "You don't have to worry about anything tonight. I'll be right here."

After a few more moments, Obanai checked the time and glanced over at Sanemi. "It's about time for us to head out if we don't want to be late."

Sanemi grunted in acknowledgment, getting to his feet. "Alright. Just remember," he said, looking at Giyu, "if you hear or see anything weird, call us right away."

Giyu nodded. "I've got it. Don't worry about a thing."

Obanai turned to Mitsuri, his voice softening as he looked at her. "I'll see you soon. Stay safe, okay?"

Mitsuri looked up at him, a hint of worry still in her eyes. "Okay... but I'll feel a lot better when you're all back."

He gave her a small smile. "You'll see us again before you know it. Just focus on getting some rest."
