Chapter Song: Je Suis Parte - "Young and Beautiful" (song is short, so have it on replay till the chapter is done 🤭💖)
____Over at Obanai's Apartment
Obanai held Mitsuri tightly, their tears mingling in the silence, but it didn't matter anymore. Everything else—their pain, the long months of distance—faded as they kissed, desperate to fill the void left by their separation. His hand slid down to her leg, pulling her closer, as if afraid that if he let her go, she'd slip away forever. The thought haunted him.
Mitsuri pressed her chest against his, feeling his cold skin, her fingers tangling in his damp hair. Her heart ached for him, for all they had lost, and yet here they were, clinging to one another like they were drowning. She kissed him with a fierce hunger, a need to reclaim every lost moment, every tear they hadn't cried together, every touch they had denied themselves. The tears kept falling, but neither cared. It was as if they were trying to mend the cracks in their hearts with every kiss.
When they finally broke apart, their breaths ragged, Mitsuri leaned her forehead against Obanai's, her lips trembling.
"I hate this," she whispered, her voice fragile, barely more than a breath. "I hate how far we've drifted."
Obanai's hand gently cupped her cheek, wiping away a tear with his thumb. "I know... I'm sorry," he whispered, his voice heavy with regret.
They laid in the quiet of the room, the weight of all their unsaid words pressing down on them. Obanai swallowed, his throat tight. "Mitsuri, I never wanted to lose you. I just... I didn't know how to make things right."
Mitsuri looked up, her eyes glistening, and shook her head. "I don't want to be angry anymore. I miss you, Obanai. I've missed you all this time."
Her words hit him like a blow to the chest, and he wrapped his arms around her, pulling her close. "I'm so sorry, Mitsuri. I should've fought harder for us. I'm sorry"
They stayed like that, holding onto each other as if afraid that letting go would tear them apart again. Obanai pulled back just enough to see her face, brushing a strand of hair from her eyes.
"I don't want to fight anymore," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "I just want to love you."
Mitsuri's breath hitched, and she pressed her lips against his again, soft and trembling, as if she were afraid this moment might disappear. "I love you, Obanai, I love you" she whispered against his lips, her voice breaking with emotion.
Their kisses grew deeper, more urgent, as the weight of their emotions overwhelmed them. The sadness, the longing, the love—they were all tangled in their embrace. Obanai slid her shirt off, needing to feel her skin against his. Mitsuri straddled his lap, her arms around his neck as their lips never parted. Obanai rose up and sat as she sat on his thighs. The tears kept falling, their hearts aching, but they couldn't stop.
Mitsuri's fingers tangled softly in his damp hair, holding him as if letting go would mean losing him forever. She pulled him deeper into their kiss, her hips pressing against him with a slow, yearning rhythm, but her focus was entirely on the warmth of his mouth, the feel of his breath mingling with hers. She wanted this kiss to never end, to keep him this close for as long as she could bear it.
Obanai's arms wrapped firmly around her waist, pulling her against him until there was no space left between them. The heat of their bodies merged as their lips moved in sync, each kiss more desperate, more intense than the last. Their tongues met in a slow, aching dance, a rhythm that spoke of longing and heartbreak, of all the words left unsaid. She could feel him trembling, feel the unspoken emotions beneath every soft, lingering touch.
