Ray'vn Oct. 5
"Ray'vn. Ray'vnnn," someone kept calling my name.
I rose my head from under my pillow. "Huh?"
"It's your Mom." I sat up in bed rubbing my eyes and looked around the room.
"What time is it?" "Almost seven thirty. I'm leaving for work now. Devon's dropping me off and taking my car. He said his got towed the other night. Your school called. Your principal said you have a meeting with him by 10am. Devon's gonna go with you then we can talk about when I get home later?"
"Mhm," I replied.
"Come on. Go get ready for school."
She kissed my forehead and left.
I miss her doing that.
I looked around the room and got up to go get ready.
After I was done taking a shower, I zipped around in my closet looking for something to wear.
When I was finished, I walked back into my room and threw my clothes onto the bed. I had just put on my bra and underwear when a knock came at my door.
Devon started walking in until he saw that I was still undressed. "Oh! Sorry. I'll wait until you're done," he said backing out of the doorway.
"Devon just come in. It's not like you haven't seen me before," I said simply and annoyed.
He walked in, standing by the side table to the left of my bed.
"You okay?" "Mhm," I replied. "You sleep okay last night?" "Fine I guess."
I sat on the bed to put lotion on my legs. I saw Devon straining himself not to look my way. "You know what, I'll just wait until you're done." He walked to the door. "What is wrong with you?" His back was turned toward me until he walked over and stood in front of me. He picked me up and met his lips with mine. I didn't kiss back and I didn't push away until I felt him getting hard.
I pulled my head back and pushed his body away. He rest me back down on the bed.
He groaned and walked back to the left side of the bed.
I sat there for a minute trying to collect myself. Maybe it was a bad idea letting him come in. I brushed it off and finished getting ready. When I turned back around, his eyes were haunting me. His eyes looked hungry.
I cleared my throat.
"Did you wanna talk about something?"
He shook his head to wake himself up.
"Yeah. Yeah." I stood there waiting for him to say something. He took a deep breath.
"Why didn't you say anything about Chris?"
I sighed.
"Devon, I don't wanna talk anymore. Can you just go so I can finish getting ready," I asked walking into my closet to do my hair.
I plugged in my curling iron, waiting for it to heat up.
"Ray'vn," Devon said, taking hold of my arm and turning me around.
"What," I asked almost whining.
"Come on. Talk to me. Why didn't you say anything?" "Devon," I said nearly raising my voice.
