Ray'vn's P.O.V ( September 24, 2012 )
My adrenaline was still going when I parked up at the side of the building to meet with Shawn. I turned off the car and hopped out.
"Ray'vn will you please talk to me?!" I continued making my way towards the door so the guys could let me in. Chris grabbed hold of my wrist. I whipped my body sideways to look at him. He flinched when I turned around.
His body tensed up and he looked nervous as if he didn't want to say anything anymore. "I-I-I'm sorry, okay?!" I began walking away again. "Ray'vn!" "What?!" He flinched once more as I stared into his eyes devilishly. "You're always fucking sorry! You always do this! You make a mistake then end up taking it back minutes later. You always expect me to feel sorry for you and feel bad about being upset then force me into forgiving you! I'm tired of it Chris! The one time... the one fucking time in soo long that I haven't been that happy and you had to mess it up for me! Why?"
"Ray'vn it wasn't me. I sound like a little bitch right now but oh well. I didn't come there to mess things up for you. All I wanted was to come get you so we could leave and not be late for my Dad to spazz. You're always blaming me as if I'm the one who's supposed to be wrong! He came at me the wrong way so I went back on it. Ray'vn I'm really trying to move past all this bullshit so I can get away but I can't!"
God I hate this! It always ends up coming down to this. Do I forgive him and let it go or do I keep dwelling on the situation?
God I don't know. I don't know!
I sighed staring up at the clouds, hoping that maybe I would find my answer. Nothing.
"Forget it Chris. Just forget it. I don't even care anymore." "Ray'vn..." "No. Let it go." I walked away and went inside with him behind me. I didn't really know where I was going that much so Chris had to lead me. When we walked into the room, he went to give his Dad's friends daps and I sat on the stairs. The two guys that I had kicked in the stomach the night before walked over to me. Chris was talking to his Dad and no one else was paying me any attention so I felt uncomfortable. They stood in front of me watching me so I kept my eyes on the floor. "You scared huh?" I looked up. "W-what?" "Are you scared?" "Of what?"
They both looked at me as if I was stupid. "Oh. Um, yeah a little." "You do know he just gonna use you right," one of them said. "You're just a pawn so he can get more money." Yeah, that was supposed to make me feel better.
"Why are you telling me this?" They looked at each other then walked away.
I sat there so lost and confused. "You, come here." I walked over to the bar area where Shawn and Chris sat. I stood there. "You ready for your first day of work?" "Um, yeah. I-I guess." "Why you so tensed," he asked standing up.
"No reason. I'm fine." He grabbed my wrist with so much pressure when he pulled me into him. "Look at me." I looked up. "Fix your pretty face and toughen up. We're making rounds in a few and we need another shooter." My stomach dropped with no intention of getting back up.
My eyes circled the room, my body trembling.
A shooter...
Chris' P.O.V
"Dad what are you doing? Are you trying to get her killed? She can't be a shooter. She has no type of experience with this. Nonetheless to hold a gun or have to kill somebody."
He turned his head. "You making the rules around here? You the one making thousands a day? No. I didn't think you were. Shut the hell up and go get your shit ready."
