Ep. 11 "Corporate Retreat" Ch. 5/7

Joy felt like those tigers pacing inside their enclosures in the zoo.
She walked to see one wall, then stumbled on the still dying Murphy, got some glares from Gordon's goons, piked some Zs, and then came right back to the same wall.
Basically, if humanity was ever restored, she was going to be at the front of the anti-zoos protests as she could now sympathize.
After coming across the same wall for the seventh, maybe eight time, in her laps, Joy was officially categorizing herself as bored.
Good thing her favourite source of entertainment had suddenly appeared.
"Jefferson, wait up," Joy rushed to 10K's side as he silently roamed the halls, now losing the element of surprise with Joy's loud stomps while trying to avoid Gideon's goons glares that Joy reciprocated every chance she could.
Did they threaten to kill them if they didn't open the door at first? Yes. But that didn't mean they had to keep being so bitchy about it.
Catching up with 10K wasn't hard as he was tip toeing around, what was hard for Joy was to remain silent as he dragged her with a finger pressed to his lips and another ready at the trigger while they walked down the stairs.
Part of their deal of the apocalypse was that Joy was the massive truck that exploded in the middle of the hallway and possibly took a few buildings down in the process, while 10K was the silent one, never the other way around.
"I told you it was only a matter of time before they banish Iggy." It sounded like some juicy plotting was happening beyond the staircase, however 10K promptly prevented Joy from peeking out beyond the corner.
First rule of spying on secret plotting: don't get caught. Fully noted.
"I know. You called it."
"And since when has Dana started leading popcorn circle? She never even finished her master's. If she wasn't sleeping with..." Joy's gasp was covered by 10K's hand.
It wasn't just plotting, it was jealousy, gossip, everything one could ever want in a drama TV show. Shame Joy wasn't a writer to make it a reality.
"We...we don't know that."
"Please. It's so obvious. You see the way he looks at her," The only person Joy had seen Dana look at was Addy, but she doubted that's who Meg in her pin perfect suit was referring to.
"Excuse me." Washington must've stopped paying attention because only when he was called out did he continue the argument.
"I know. You called it."
"And what about these new people?" Joy frowned, the plotting and scheming lost all of its fun when she was on the other end.
"Why are we sharing anything with them?" Because if they didn't, Warren would've killed them; but that wasn't the answer Meg wanted even if Joy could speak.
