Ep. 13 "Doctor Of The Dead" Ch. 2/4

Joy always wondered how stupid the government could get. After all, they were out there starting meaningless wars and fights, wasting money on pointless statues of morally questionable historical figures, and not to mention the ever rising taxes that some couldn't even dream of affording.

But starting the zombie apocalypse? That was definitely a new low.

"Well I'm guessing it didn't end too well for old Doyle here."

While Joy had been adjusting Cassandra onto her side so 10K could take a break, the video had apparently ended.

"Okay, who's for getting out of here right now? Show of hands," Joy and 10K didn't hesitate to raise their hands.

They were both made for killing Zs and travelling, not some scientific craziness in an underground United States government owned bunker.

"Okay. It's back out to the apocalypse it is."

Murphy didn't quite agree with them as he immediately stood up while glaring at the three of them, Doc was the only one intimidated.

If Murphy thought he was scary, he hadn't seen Joy truly angry. That would make anyone piss their pants at the sight.

"Nobody's going anywhere. This is not a goddamn democracy. We came here to find Doctor Merch, and that is exactly what we are going to do."

"Yeah well, you're not our goddamn leader so sit your ass back down." 10K bumped his shoulder with Joy's. After all, if he jabbed her, there was the possibility she'd drop Cassandra.

"He's right. If she's down here, we just can't leave her. She is still our only chance at a vaccine." Doc groaned, he had been really looking forward to leaving that death hole.

"You're right. I just thought we might wanna, I dunno, live."

"Yeah, well, quit your dreaming and let's go." Joy glared at the back of Murphy's head as they walked.

"Again, not our leader. We only follow Momma Warren."

"Let's go, Joy."

"Sure thing Warren."

As they came up to another locked door, Doc coincidentally managed to get a phone call from the cellphone they had picked up earlier.

"Zombie apocalypse, how may I direct your call?"

"Felicia, just leave me here." Cassandra pointed at some stacked up boxes and Joy gave her a weird look.

"You sure, Cassie? You're not that heavy, besides, I needed an arm workout." Cassandra chuckled and nodded, still nodding towards the boxes.
