Ep. 11 "Corporate Retreat" Ch. 4/7

Daydreaming was part of Joy's natural way of dealing with the apocalypse.
Right now, she was daydreaming of ripping the stick out of Gordon's hands and shoving it into where the light don't shine and hang his mangled body out the window for the Zs to play piñata with him.
But it was all a dream.
Instead, Joy settled for gripping the top of her hatchet hanging by her side while she walked towards the corporate cult shoulder to shoulder with Warren and 10K, Addy pressing at Warren's other side as the rest remained with Murphy.
"We're gonna resolve this conflict peacefully. Without violence." Gordon had clearly not been with their group long enough; violence was like a third language for Joy.
"Well, that's not gonna be easy. Considering, one of you just shot one of us."
"Do you have any proof of that?" Danny with his fiery temper questioned, aggravated, only for Joy to reply with a sickly sweet smile.
"Yeah, it's right here." The evidence was Joy's middle finger, something neither 10K nor Danny appreciated while the latter reared up to attack her.
Danny would've lost anyway, but before he could taste the bitter taste of defeat, Gordon stopped him.
"Okay, listen. Everyone. Violence can spread like wildfire. It just takes one spark to burn down the bridges of trust between all of our fellow human beings. And once it's started, fire doesn't care who it burns. I know that we can resolve the issues between us."
Gordon just described the exact reason why Joy loved fire, how something so small could cause so much destruction and grow into a catastrophic event... maybe Joy liked fire because she was like it.
"The issue between us? The..," Before Warren could continue her offended rant, Gordon silenced her by handing her the adorned stick. She took it with a scowl. "The issue between us is that one of you shot Murphy."
"Imvume," Meg took the stick from Warren's grasp, glaring at them like a wild chihuahua on steroids and a sugar rush both at once. "You said Murphy was your prisoner. Maybe he tried to escape and one of you shot him."
"Then why would we keep him prisoner if we were just going to shoot him eventually? And I thought I was the pea brained one." A Z banging on the window drowned out Meg's growls while she started stomping in Joy's direction, presumably to strangle the living daylights out of her.
It was good to know Joy had not lost her touch with being able to piss off corporate assholes.
"Okay, Meg. Meg, thank you," Gordon kept interrupting Joy's fun, that was two people she was ready to smash her fist into, but he prevented. What a buzzkill. "Will you please sit down? We all have to trust."
