REVIEW
STORYLINE
The storyline follows two individuals, Sienna and Ethan, who are interestingly biggest admirers of each other's works without knowing their true identities.
An accidental encounter leaves them thinking for each other deeply, with one part recognizing the other's identity. Later on, they meet again in one of the exhibitions showcasing Sienna's art pieces along with other artists' works.
These encounters bloom a surge of emotions in both characters' hearts for each other.
CHARACTERS DEVELOPMENT
Sienna Everhart and Ethan Blackhood, as the main protagonists, with Anna Lorraine and Alex Anderson as the side characters by their sides have been portrayed in this tale.
Sienna is an artist who finds peace in paintings, while Ethan is another artist who finds solace in music.
Anna and Alex are friends of Sienna and Ethan, respectively. However, these side characters sound more like a leaning pillar for the main characters to lean on, instead of real, nuanced, and humans who have their motives or goals to pursue.
Nonetheless, the main characters have not shown any sort of depth in their personalities yet till sixth chapters. A couple of traits that they perceive includes a sweet personality from Sienna's side, and an introverted behavior from Ethan's side.
WRITING STYLE
The story is written in an ominous POV with past tense structure. Additionally, with its very fast-paced writing style, and dialogues overshadowed by major narration make the story less engaging as a reader. The ratio appears to be 97% of narration with 3% of dialogues scattered here and there.
Furthermore, the descriptions written over there in the work come off as a mere outline of the real plot rather than a true engaging piece of work. Constantly, there is mention of, this happens; then, that happens; after that, this and that happens.
This is not how engaging storylines are presented. Before letting others feel the world and the characters' journey the author has woven, it is necessary for the author to feel that world first. Only this way, they will be able to craft a beautiful tale with an ever-lasting impact.
Use sensory details in the descriptions, like actions, expressions, body movements, sight, smell, etc in order to make the imaginary vivid. Don't make it feel like the characters are floating in a white room.
Moreover, give each character a clear motive and goal, it doesn't matter if they are the main character or just a mere side character.
Do not bring them just because the story needs them, bring them because they should be in the story. Their actions and decisions should make an impact in the plot.
One more thing, take a close look for grammatical and technical errors in order to make the work flow smoother without any hindrance. An edit shop can help in getting rid of these errors and mistakes.
Yep! That's all!
The author can implement things they think will work for their work, or just follow their own mind.
BEST OF LUCK!
