"Hey!" Emma said as she walked up to Killian that was waiting for her in front of her house.

"Hey, feeling better?" he asked.

"Yeah, thanks." she answered as they started walking.

"Hey, um, I'm going at Elsa's with some friends tonight, you'll be okay to walk back alone?" he asked, thinking about what his friend told him he day before.

"Sure. It's not like I was five and it's been a week. Don't worry, I won't get lost this time." Emma said. Killian laughed nervously, but Emma didn't seem to notice so they kept walking to school, like everything was normal.

At school, Emma went to find Belle and Anna and had to explain to her friends what happened, briefly. Not wanting to tell about Lily, she made up a few details about why she got lost.

The blonde let her two friends go to her class, while she got her books. She did not have either Belle or Anna in her english class.
She was walking to her classroom when suddently she was pushed to a locker. The guy continued walking like nothing happened, but Emma simply grabbed her book that fell and walked away. She had lived worse. Maybe it's just time something bad happens, it always does at some point, she thought.

She got into her classroom and sat at the back, not talking to anybody. The class started and she wiped off those thoughts about all of the worse time she had ans concentrated on the work she had to do.

She barely saw Killian for the rest of the week at school and she realised it did change something. Not that she wanted him to be around or something, but she suddently felt like the new girl. Belle and Anna were around a little, but in those moments she was alone, she had been pushed to lockers again and it's like she suddently noticed people whispering about her.

How could I have been so foolish? I knew it would be the same as always. I'm never nothing more than the the new foster girl.

When the bell rang at the end of the day, on friday, Emma walked out of her classroom, head down and avoiding her two friends. She quickly got to her locker and took her books, then headed outside. She wasn't feeling right. The situation wasn't the worse she ever lived, but it was hurting her, simply because she thought everything was perfect. That week had been like a slap in the face, bringing her back to her reality.

Emma Swan can't have a great life, right?

She looked at Killian hanging out with his friends, then saw Belle and Anna that seemed to come for her but she increased her speed and walked to the street.

When she got home, her foster parents weren't there. She rushed to her room and let her bag fall on the floor before she sat next to her window and brought her knees to her chest, then sighted. She leaned her head on the window and closed her eyes. Emma stayed like that for a while, thinking about the past schools she had been in and trying to convince herself that what happened this past week was not that bad.

She heard her parents come home and not so long after that, Rose called her saying there was someone at the door for her. She got up and got downstairs, before she arrived to the door and saw Belle.

"Hey!" Emma said, surprised. She then turned to her foster mom. "Rose, this is Belle, a friend from school. Belle, this is my foster mom."

"Nice to meet you, Belle. I'm sorry, I have to go." Rose said and got back to the kitchen.

"Hum, you can... come upstairs." the blonde said to her friend. Belle followed her to the bedroom. "Hey I'm sorry for earlier, I left quickly-"

"Yeah, that's why I came to talk to you. I'm a little worried..." Belle said.

"Worried? About what?" Emma asked.

"You. I've seen how people act around you because you're new and it's not right, even if you say so. They don't have a reason to do this and you don't deserve it." the brunette spoke.

"Maybe I don't but it's not thag bad. I've had worse, Belle. Don't worry. I just don't want you and Anna... I don't want them to make fun of you or something because you chose to be my friend. That's why I've been avoiding you a little." Emma explained.

"You don't have to do it. We're your friends and if they do that, it's because they're all... stupid and they don't deserve us. We"re your friends and we care about you." Belle admitted, which made Emma smile a little.

"This might be weird for you, but I'm not used to people caring for me, so maybe that's why I backed off and I'm sorry."

"It's okay, Emma. Hey, do you want to come with Anna and me. We're grabbing something to eat after her piano class." Belle suggested.

"Sure, let me ask Rose!" Emma said.

It does feel good to have friends.
