Look Up to the Stars (Captain Swan)

Chapter 18

Rose was crying, Oliver was shot and Emma was frozen. It's only when she heard the sirens that she moved and ran up the stairs. Her hands were trembling, she wasn't really thinking right, she just grabbed a bag and stuffed the most important stuff in it.

Normally, she left at the smallest of mistakes.

Now she had made a huge one.

She had her bag packed and heard her name called, but did not answer. She knew it was Rose but it only lasted a few seconds before she stopped calling her. Emma sat at her desk and took 2 papers, a pencil and she started writing.

Tears were coming out of her eyes, she was having difficulty to write what she wanted but she finally got to it.

She folded the papers and one one she wrote Rose and Oliver and on the other... Killian.

She grabbed her bag and went dowm the stairs silently. There were a few people in the house, the ambulance had left with Oliver and Rose. Emma got out by the back door where Lily and the guy had escaped and she started to run.

At that same time, Killian had just came back home. As his family were trying to understand what was happening, he saw her beautiful blonde hair, saw her running.

He stormed out of the car and started running after her, screaming her name.

Suddently, she stopped, turned towards him. She gave him a sad look and continued her way, running down the street to the closest bus stop.

Killian stood there, in the middle of the street, looking at her running away. He had just lost her, because he knew she would never come back.

He slowly came back to his house and his mom, now aware of the situation explained it to him.

"She ran away." he declared. "She won't come back."

Killian entered the empty house of their neighbours the next day. He got upstairs to Emma's room, and looked around. He had been asked by Rose to check if she had left anything behind, but he would have gone anyways.

He saw the two folded papers on the desk and quickly grabbed the one with his name on it.

"Dear Killian,

I cannot thank you enough for all that you did for me. You are... I don't even have words, you were just really here and you were the first, ever.

I'm sorry that I left, but I had to. I would have left at some point, and I knew that I would hurt you at some point. I am so sorry.

I'm going to meet my mother, like you told me, but do not come after me. I can't come back, you can't come with me.

I am so sorry, thank you so much...

Bye, Killian.

Killian put the paper down and sighted. He grabbed the other letter and came back home, broken.
