Emma groaned as she heard someone knocking on the door. She had fallen asleep on her mother's couch the other night. The knocking kept going and she groaned again, refusing to open her eyes.

She heard footsteps and believed it was her mother.

"Emma, your stuff is here." she said.

"Coming." she replied and got up. She signed the paper and got the box that she left on the table before sitting back on the couch.

"And, Killian's here." Mary Margaret added as she was about to close the door.

"Hi." he added as she let him step in the house.

"Hey, what are you doing here?" Emma asked as she got up once more.

"Is that your stuff?" he asked, looking at the box.

"Yes. But, what are you doing here?" she repeated.

"I thought you'd like to know that Mr Nolan, David, is awake." Killian declared, which caused a silence for a moment. Emma looked at her mother, who was looking at the floor.

"I-I..." started Mary Margaret. "I have a class to teach." she said and grabbed her coat and bag, before passing next to Killian and leaving the house.

"Do you want to go see him?" he asked Emma.

"I don't huh... I'm gonna go change." she said and got up the stairs.

"I'm not sure that's a good idea." Emma said as she entered the hospital with Killian.

"You said it went great when you first met your mother." he replied.

"Yeah, but I'm not 16 and I... I had a kid at 18, he's in the hospital." she mumbled.

"He's your father. And you could just pretend you're working, like me, and we just have some questions." Killian suggested. "But, he's your father and you've been looking for him a long time, right?"

"I have." she said. They kept walking fr a moment before arriving in front of the glass doors that seperated David Nolan's room from the hallway.

"Emma Nolan, huh? Think I prefer Swan." Killian joked. She gave him a small smile before they entered his room. He was awake and looked quite confused when he saw the two coming in his room.

"Hi, Mr Nolan, I'm Killian Jones, I work with Sheriff Graham, that I think you've met not so long ago, am I wrong?" Killian introduced himself.

"Huh, yeah, I met him briefly. You are probably here to ask me a bunch of questions?" he guessed.

"I am." Killian replied and looked at Emma, trying to see if she would say a word, pretend if it was work. However, she did not look ready to talk. So, he took the chair and sat next to the patient.

"So, Mr Nolan-" Killian started, but he was stopped by Emma's father.

"David. Call me David." he replied.

"Sure. David. Do you remember anything from the accident?" he asked.

"I remember I was coming from Boston and I would run out of gas soon, so I entered the town to find a gas station." David said.

"Boston?" Emma said and they both looked in her direction.

"I-I'm sorry, who are you?" David asked her and she started breathing faster. She could not decide what to tell him.

"Emma..." Killian whispered.

"I'm... Emma Swan, but I... you're... you're my father." she declared.

All they could head were the machines David was hooked at. Killian kept his eyes on Emma that was waiting for David's reaction. He was as lost as she was before. He always had wanted to meet his daughter and now, she was right in front of him.

"Sorry, I got to go." Emma mumbled and got out.

"Hey, kid. I got good news for you." Emma said as she was walking Henry back to his house.

"What is it?" he asked, curious and excited.

"My stuff arrived this morning." she told him, trying to make her son guess what she was trying to say.

"Your stuff?" he asked. He didn't get it. "Wait, I though maybe you'd be leaving tomorrow, because it's been a week... You're staying?"

A smile grew on his face and on Emma's. She might have not known her kid for long, but he was special to her, he was her kid.

"Yeah, kid. Even if your mother would disagree, I'm staying." Emma said.

"You're my mother." he replied.

"I'm your birth mother, she is your mother. She's the one that made you who you are. There's a difference." she told him.

They had stopped walking for a little while now and Henry rushed into Emma's arms.

"I still think you're my mother." he said.

She though about herself, when she was younger and thought about her parents. She wanted to meet them so much, because she needed answers. Just like Henry.
And that made her think of Killian.

Look up to the stars, Swan. Your parents are staring at the same brighjt lights as you. They are out there, waiting for you.
