"Emma, sweetie, you're ready? Killian's there!" Rose shouted.

"Coming!" Emma yelled back. She grabbed her backpack, filled with only a few things. She had been told that her books were already in her locker, ready to be used. The girl ran down the stairs as her long blond hair got in her face. She quickly replaced the strand of hair that were in the way and gave a smile to the guy standing in front of her.

"Everything's okay?" Rose asked.

"Yeah." Emma answered.

"You got the papers I gave you, that you need to give to the principal?" her mother added.

"Yes, I've got everything!" the blonde said.

"Okay, well have a good day you two!" Rose finished as Killian and Emma left the house. Their school wasn't far, so they were walking.

"Hey, hum... thank you for... helping me with this." Emma declared after a few moments, avoiding the guy's look.

"It's alright, I'm happy to do so." he answered.

"Do you know anyone in my year?" she asked, thinking that maybe she could know somebody in a class. Normally, she didn't care about first days or having friends, because she knew the home she was in was really temporary, but again, she felt like Rose and Oliver were different than all of the foster families that she once had and if she was there to stay, she hoped to have a great start in what she normally called prison, but most of the others called school.

"Well, I have this friend Elsa and her sister is your age. Her name is Anna." he said. "We'll try to find her and I'll introduce you two." Emma simply nodded at his answer. "They're really great people, I'm sure you'll get along."

"I hope so." Emma answered. They went silent for a littke while, but both thought it was a little akward, so Killian spoke first.

"Okay, maybe that's childish, but what about we just ask some questions to get to know each other better?" he suggested.

"Huh, yeah, sure!" she answered and smile.

"Okay, so... what do you like to fo in your free time, Swan?" he started.

"Oh, well... I really like reading." It was the first thing she thought about. "And Swan, huh?"

"Yeah, I saw that. You were reading that book, next to your window." Killian said. "And yes, Swan. You mind?"

"Nop. And yeah, right. I really like that spot in the house. I've always wanted something like that. I mean, that room... it's like a dream!"

"That's really cool! What do you normally have, I mean, as a bedroom?" he added.

"Isn't it my turn to ask a question?" Emma laughed a little.

"Yeah, sure, go." her neighbour smiled.

"Haha, alright. For your information, I normally slept in like bunkbeds, sharing a room with other kids, stuff like that... And, what do you do in your free time?" the blonde asked.

"You stole my question!" he declared and laughed.

"Don't I have a right to know? You know that I like reading!" Emma replied.

"Drawing. That's what I like to do." he admitted.

"Drawing, huh? Would you show me?"

"Maybe" he winked and she smiled. "Okay, hum... favorite color?"

"That's such a cliché question!" Emma said.

"Well, I'm not very inspired." Killian justified.

"You're the one who proposed to do this." the blonde recalled.

"True. But still, I want to know."

"Red. You?" she answered.

"Like you jacket." he said, pointing what she was wearing. "For me, I guess it's black. I don't really know why."

"Like you jacket too." she pointed out.

"Yeah. I like leather jackets." he declared.

"As a matter of fact, I also happen to like leather jackets." she added. He smiled in response as they arrived at school.

"Just wait here, I need to go ask something to one of my teachers. I'll be back in a sec." Killian said to Emma.

"Yeah, sure, go." she responded.

He walked through the hallway and she stayed there, next to the girls bathroom. She had her schedule in hand, looking at her classes and teachers name. People were passing by and didn't seem to notice her, except one girl, coming out of the bathroom.

"Hey." the girl said.

"Huh, hi." Emma said. She was a little shy.

"You're new, right?" the brunette asked. She had a australian accent.

"Yeah, yeah I am." she answered.

"Are you looking for a classroom? I can help if you want." the girl offered and Emma thought it really was nice of her.

"Oh, thanks. Well, my friend is coming back soon, he was going to show me around, I guess." Emma shrugged.

"Oh, sure! Well, if you need anything, I'm Belle." the girl said, with a smile.

"Thanks a lot! I'm Emma."

"Nice to meet you, Emma." Belle said.

"Same." the blonde responded.

At this time, Killian was already back, with two girls. One was a little taller than the other. She had beautiful, long blonde hair in a braid that fell on her left side. The other was a redhead, with a big smile.

"Hey, Belle. I was wondering where you were!" the redhead said.

"Emma, this is Elsa and Anna, the two girls I told you about. Girls, this is Emma, my friend and neighbour that is new here." Killian introduced. The blonde was Elsa, the ginger was Anna. They both greeted and she answered with a simple "Hi".

"Oh, so your friend is Killian?" Belle added.

"Yes." Emma answered.

"Well, Killian, we got this, we'll show her around!" Anna said.

"Okay with this, Swan?" Killian asked.

"Yeah, sure!" she said.
