Look Up to the Stars (Captain Swan)

Chapter 35

"Baelfire?" Killian asked as he looked at  Emma's screen. "What's that name?"

"I don't know, but that's the name Gold gave me. That's his son. But Baelfire seems to be dead. So, he either is, or he is just not Baelfire anymore." Emma explained.

"Still looking for him, huh?" he asked.

"Yeah. I got a contact with New York. Last place where Baelfire was ever seen, I'm just trying to find some more stuff." she declared. "I probably will have to go there."

Killian walked over to his desk and sighed as he sat on the chair.

"If you do, you should take Henry with you. He'd love the city! He never got out of Storybrooke." Killian suggested.

"Never? Really?" Emma asked.

"Busy mom." he explained.

"Anyway, his mom would never let me go with him. She doesn't want me to see him for an hour at Granny's!"

"Just tell the lad. I think he'll be quite persuasive. She'll let him go." Killian said. "Is your dad doing better?"

"Yeah, he is." she answered as she cliked a button and got up to grab a file.

"He also seems to be staying here." he added.

"Well, he and Mary Margaret... I don't know. It's none of my buisness, really." she said and sat down once more.

"They're your parents."

"They never really were." she declared and that shut him up.

Killian walked in the station the next morning and was suprised to find the door unlocked. He entered and checked around. The light of Emma's desk was still open, just like her computer. He then saw her, asleep on the couch. Killian silently walked over and gently put his hand on her shoulder.

"Swan..." he whispered. "Hey, you need to wake up."

"What?" she let out and opened her eyes.

"I'm starting to think you like sofas more than beds." Killian joked. She sat down as he went to his desk.

"Guess that's what happens after you lived in a car." she said.

"In your car?"

"It's not that bad, actually. I'll go home and change." Emma said as she walked towards the door. "Later!"

"Wait." he said as he grabbed something on her desk. "I think you'll need your keys to get in your car." he added as he thrown her keys to her.

"Right. Thanks." she said and left.

She went home, changed and as she got out, Henry was waiting for her.

"Hey, what are you doing here?" she asked with a smile.

"Waiting for you to walk me to school." he said.

"Come on." They both got outside. "You know, I need to go to New York for a case. You never went there, did you?" she asked.

"Never." he answered.

"Would you like to come?" she proposed, already knowing his answer.

"What kind of question is that?" he asked and she laughed.

"We'll need to convince your mother." Emma told him.

"Oh, I'm on it." he said. They were passing in front of the librairy, just as Belle was.

"Hey Belle! You're back!" Henry said.

"Henry! Hi! And Emma... you two know each other?" Belle asked.

"You two know each other too?" Henry then asked.

"Belle was my friend, you know, back when I knew Killian." Emma explained to Henry. "And uh..." she said as she turned to the brunette. "that's what I was going to say before your husband came in to talk to me. Henry is my son." she declared.

"I didn't see that coming." Belle admitted.

"I didn't expect that you knew each other." Henry said. "Or that you knew Killian or that Mary Margaret was your mother." he added as a joke.

"Wow, you've got your whole family here!" Belle commented.

"Turns out, yeah." Emma said. "Hey kid, you have a bus to catch." she then said. "I'll see you around, Belle."

"Sure!" she smiled.

Emma and Henry walked away and Belle got back in the library.

"So, you and Killian?" he asked.

"What?" she said, surprised.

"You too are close." he said as the bus arrived.

"You have a bus to take." Emma replied to avoid talking about a relationship with her 10 year old son.

"I'll see you later!" he said as he got on the bus.

She smiled and walked back to the station.
