SHANA'S POV

The three of them were silently sitting in front of each other, looking down the ground like contemplating what to do and what say to one another while I was just looking at them awkwardly. Well I was looking bored at them. How twisted fate is!

I encountered all of them in an insane situation. We all have pasts. It feels like I've been tangled to a curse family, the father didn't do well as well as the mother so fate gave me the daughter. How exciting! Sometimes you really have to taste the product because most of the time, 99% of the possibility that it is better than the manufacturer combined. Damn!

I was about to say something to break the silence when a text message came, it's Ked.

Ked:
Ate pwede ka
bang mag arrange
ng parang little
meet up namin ng
bestfriend ko dahil
may importante lang
akong sasabihin sa
kaniya.

Nag reply naman ako pabalik.

Shana:
Sure.

Maikling sagot ko at tinago na ang cellphone at hanggang ngayon ay di pa rin nagkikibuan ang mga ito.

"Ahm guys I think you could do more than sitting and being part of the Quiet Place movie. Please talk to each other." I really should break the silence coz like it's deafening me. I can't the silence anymore. This isn't a contest.

"I don't know what to say." Sagot naman ni Marlon. Damn right!

"How about you Jappy?" I ask her who can't even look at her daughter but she just shook off her head. Alright.

"Ako may sasabihin ako." Chipmunk said and even raised her hands for oral participation. Of course the daughter has a lot to say or should I say 'ask'.

"Go ahead, C." I said. She looks at her parents and hesitates to form words but she calms herself first before saying anything.

"Minahal niyo ba ako kahit nasa sinapupunan pa lang ako?" She ask which makes everyone look at her. What a shivering question. Jappy and Marlon looked at each other and they were like pushing each other by stares for who will answer their daughter's question. They're stupid.

"Of course I did love you. All I could think of before while I was carrying you is how to take care of you after I deliver you out." Jappy answered.

"Pero na stress ka dahil sa lalaking to dahil di mo matanggap na may pamilya din siyang iba sa anak ni nanay. So ano ba talaga ang tunay mong nararamdaman noon sa lalaking to?" She refused to call Marlon her father, well if I am in her shoes I would probably be like that too or even worse. Jappy looked at Marlon subtly and Marlon did too.

"We didn't love each other back then Al, it's a forced marriage and I have someone in my heart that time so I really can't push myself to love her back." Marlon answered with cringe and stupidity. It must be Maris.

"Pero nahulog ka kay anti." Chipmunk utter. Oh that was awkward. Bat nasali ako? Nananahimik ako dito.

"The truth is I have fallen for your father." Jappy answered which makes me a little bit surprised. I was damn right. She won't permit that one night to happen if she really hasn't any feelings towards Marlon especially since she's sober. Marlon looks at Jappy surprise. He just know it, just now.
"I just hide it because just like what your father said, she already had someone in her heart and I don't think he can love me back either if we end up together. I don't want to confess to him because I don't want to be a loser at the end. I fought for my feelings and after what happened in the hospital, that love fades and changes to hate, towards him. He couldn't even be there during my labor." Jappy chides Marlon. Serves him.
