"Last show." Noah grins over face time as people rush around behind him but he's unaware, completely focused on me.

"Last show. You'll be a little sad when it's over?" It's more of a statement than a question. I know it's tough and it takes a toll on them but there's a buzz the stage gives them that nothing else does.

"Yeah... but I'm honestly ready for a reset. I'm ready for some calm."

"You guys gonna go on hiatus?" I wriggle my brows making him laugh.

"Yeah, I think for a little while. Get some new shit written, take a fucking breath, attend a wedding, have a baby, all the regular stress free shit." Noah jokes and I roll my eyes at his sarcastic comment.

"Of course. Super stress free." I reply a smile planted firmly on my face.

"Hey Mar!" Nick's face comes into view over Noah's shoulder, he looks tense unable to hide whatever it is that's weighing on him. "Dude, we gotta run through some shit before we go out there. Sorry Margo." His apologetic glance makes me wave it off like it's nothing.

"Good luck guys, you'll rock it as always." I tell them as enthusiastically as I can. "I'll see you soon."

"Tonight, then boom baby, we're off to Cape Cod." Noah winks trying to lighten the mood, though I can tell Nicks interruptions is still gnawing at him.

"I can't believe you." I tease brightly. "Ight, you've gotta get going. Have fun, you'll be amazing as always. I'll see you soon."

"I love you."

"I love you." I reply giving Noah a wave who quickly blows me a kiss and then the screen goes dark leaving me staring at my own reflection in the black glass.

The hotel feels too big and quiet without him here with me. I'd flown out with the guys this morning to Michigan, not wanting to do the trip to Cape Cod alone, but I decided against going to the festival tonight. The crowd, the noise the heat just doesn't seem appealing as much as I'd like to support them all in person. Not only that but with fans dissecting Noah's every move online, showing up with him would only add fuel to the already roaring fire.

I flop against the pillows on the bed flicking on the TV and the sound of an old Friends rerun echos through the room but my mind is still stuck on the tense look Nick had earlier and it makes me nervous for things that might have gone wrong.

"Hey you're back!" I call out hearing the hotel room open. "How was it?" Noah shuffles into view as I hop up off of the bed making my way towards him.

"Would have been better if you were there." He replies clearly exhausted shooting me a sleepy wink.

"If there weren't so many conspiracy theories you know I would have been there. If it's any consolation I wish I was there too. Especially with it being your last show for a while."

"Hmph..." Noah sighs as I slip my arms around his waist pulling him close to me resting my face against his chest, stopping him from taking another step.

"You're pouting." I mumble against his tee.

"Am not." He grumbles pressing a light kiss to the top of my head.

"Yes you are." I smirk looking up to him seeing his own smirk deepen, a lazy curve that makes me go fucking crazy. "C'Mon let's get a shower."

He gets that glint in his eyes, the one that can only mean he's about to test me.

"You sure that's what you want? You say shower but I just hear an invitation..." He whispers his voice rough and low.

"God, you're impossible." I roll my eyes but there's a heat growing in the pit of my stomach.
