Lucaya One Shots

Moment III

This is part 3 to 'A Moment' and 'The Second Moment' if you want to go back and read them again. Hope you enjoy it.

Lucas' POV

I looked over at Maya who was now completely pretending that I wasn't there. She was talking to farkle about science. you know somethings wrong when Maya actually wants to talk about science.

Riley was talking to me and I tried to keep up as much as I could but I kept wondering what Maya was doing. I knew it was wrong but lately me and Riley had been more friends than anything else and after that moment with Maya I couldn't stop thinking about it.

"Well I better go home now my parents will be worried." Riley said starting to walk down a dark block.

"You can't go alone and besides, I live that way. I'll come with." Farkle shouted while trying to catch up with her.

"No.. Dont go!" Maya yelled.

"You'll be fine you have Lucas!" Riley replied from afar.

We walked in silence for about 30 seconds before I could think of something to say.

"Soooo Maya..." My mind had gone blank but suddenly...

"Oh, god I can't believe I'm being so stupid. If your worried I like you then you have nothing to worry about. You and Riley were mean't for each other. Of course I don't like you it was a moment, a silly moment and I got carried away. I thought I liked you just for a minute but I dont, I'm sorry what were you gonna say?." A whirlpool of world's came tumbling out of her mouth without anytime for me to stop her.

"So you don't like me?" I asked.

"No of course not, it was all in my head." she replied

"Ok, So let me get this straight, you liked me in Texas but then you realized that we were better as friends because we had never really talked much, but then when we were looking after that doll you thought you liked me but you really don't?" She looked at me trying to take in what I had said. Once she had processed it she began to look defeated.

"Of course I like you huckleberry, you were a good guy back then and you haven't changed since but your basically with Riley and i can't betray our friendship. I never would." She uttered.

"You know I felt it too." I said.

"Felt what?" She replied.

"When we had that moment I felt something too, it wasn't in your head." By the time we had gotten to her apartment everything felt normal and we said goodbye as friends but i still wondered if those feelings for her were coming back to me.

Meanwhile...

Farkles POV

I dont know why but somehow she managed to she choose the scariest block in New York. The trees were howling and I could have sworn there were shadows following us.

"Riley, have you been down this street before?"

"Errmm, do you want me to tell the truth?" She asked.

"Yes." I said questioning whether I had made the right choice.

"Well then no." She whispered trying not to let me hear her answered. I looked around and I could swear I heard actual howling in the wind.

"Ok lie to me next time." I whispered in her ear as she grabbed me closer.

I could finally see the end of the street which made me feel so much better but Riley's face seemed terrified.

"What?" I asked.

"There's a man following us." She replied.

"I'm sure its no one, and he's too far away to be any danger to us." As I said the words I instantly regretted it because the man started to run fast and he was catching up to us.

"Ok RUN!!!!" I yelled at her. She screamed and started sprinting down the road, she was a lot slower than me but I stayed behind her making sure she was ok. She slipped on the wet ground but before she fell to the ground, I grabbed her hand and pulled her up. When she realised wjat i had dine she hugged me. Really tight.

I felt something, I couldn't tell what it was but I liked it and she seemed to feel the same way.

"Farkle, Riley!!" We heard from down the block. It was the man and as he got closer we realized it was Mr Matthew's. We instantly laughed leaving Mr Mathews confused about what was happening.

I thought I would include a tiny Riarkle moment just because i just love them together and as it was halloween yesterday I made it a little scary. Hope you enjoyed it and if you have any suggestions for my next one shot just let me know.
