Maya's POV
"Lucas come look?" I called from the lounge.
"What, what's going on?!" He said poking his head through the door.
"I found all our old years books." I said smiling at him.
"Wow I haven't seen them in years, come on let's get you off the the floor, pregnant women shouldn't be on the floor." He demanded picking up and helping me onto the sofa.
"Stop worrying about me I'm fine. Come sit next to me." I said pointing to the place beside me.
"Ok let's have a quick look and then back to packing, we're moving in 2 days." He sat down beside me and opened the book.
"Hey look this was the first year you were at John Quincy... Look how young we were." I uttered feeling nostalgic.
"I know, this is was the year we won favorite couple." He chuckled to himself.
"And you and Riley went all crazy about who you were, for a while there I thought you were always going to be cheery and thats definitely not you." He continued and then got up to head back to where ever he was before.
I thought about it and I realized that I didn't know who I was not even after that day. I was always gloomy and sarcastic but I wasn't anymore and I knew why...
Lucas' POV
I headed back to the kitchen thinking about who I used to be and I realized I never really expressed what I really felt before I met Maya and I would always love her for it. I heard noises in the hallway. I turned around to find Maya waddling in from the lounge.
"You changed me!" She announced.
"What?!" I asked feeling a little confused.
"You changed me, I'm more optimistic and less sarcastic, you've turned me into your perfect women, you've turned me into... Riley!!" She screamed and then slowly turned and waddled back towards the lounge.
Maya's POV
I heard him follow me out of the kitchen but I didn't want to hear anything he had to say.
"Maya! Maya wait!" He shouted from the other end of the hallway.
"What?!" I yelled feeling tired.
"First sit and then listen." He insisted leading me towards the lounge chairs. He knew what u was feeling before I did and I hated him for it. I hated him that I couldn't be angry at him because he was always so wonderful.
"Of course I changed you." He explained smiling.
"Why are you happy about that?!" I asked him feeling sick to the stomach.
"I've changed you just like you've changed me. If you didn't like something you would make sure everyone knew so that you could get through to them. Whereas I was always ok with everything, see look at this." He tried to explain giving me the year book that said
'Lucas Friar - most likely to be ok with everything'
But ever since we've been together I've learned to speak up. You were always this gloomy, half glass is empty kind of girl and somehow being with me has made you change, that's why we make sense." He finished still smiling."I'm happy." I said.
"That's nice." He relied looking puzzled.
"No, I've changed because I'm happy... Because you make me happy." I muttered.
He didn't say a word but he sat down next to me, kissed me on the forehead and picked up our year books to have another look.
"No." I shouted taking them away from him. He looked at me funny.
"I thought you wanted to look at them?" He questioned me.
"They've already made me nearly cry once today." I explained.
"Good idea." He chuckled while picking up the remote and turning on the TV.
