The Second Moment

This is sort of a part 2 from what happened in my first ever oneshot where they won the tickets to the theater. Hope you enjoy and if you have any suggestions just comment and I will get back to you.

Lucas' POV

"Farkle come on, hurry up" I yelled from the door.

"Sorry. I'm coming." He shouted back from half way down the stairs.

"If we're late Maya will hate me." I said.

"Don't you mean Riley?" Farkle questioned me. He was now in front me frowning at what I had just said.

"Yh that what I just said."

"No... You said Maya."

"Oh, well I meant to say Riley" I uttered.

"If you say so." Farkle whispered under his breath as he walked down the steps outside my apartment building.

We waited down in the subway which made me feel like we were on our first real double date again but this time it felt like was waiting for Maya instead of Riley. I told myself it was just because we had won the tickets together but I just couldn't shake the feeling.

As they walked down the subway steps we both became speechless.

"She looks beautiful, doesn't she?" The words just slipped out of my mouth.

"Which one, Lucas?" Farkle spitefully said. I looked over at him and he pulled a worried expression as though he knew what had happened between us when we we looking after that doll.

"Obviously Riley." I shouted at him trying to deny what was happening to me.

Maya's POV

As me and Riley got closer to the boys I started to see how handsome ranger rick looked but he had always liked Riley and that's how it would always be.

"Obviously Riley!" I heard Lucas shout from across the station.

"Obviously Riley what?" Riley questioned them. We were standing in front of them now and I was trying not to look at Lucas' face I couldn't understand why but I just looked down.

"Lucas was just saying how obviously great you look Riley." Farkle replied. When he said them words my heart sank and I looked up. Lucas stared back at me for a moment and I felt an aching and then he looked away; that's howI knew he had no feelings for me.

"But I think you look obviously great Maya." Farkle said trying not to leave me out. I appreciated everything he said but I knew me and him didn't feel like that about each other.

Lucas' POV

"Lucas was just saying how obviously great you look Riley" Farkle replied. I knew he was trying to salvage what had just happened but somehow it had made it worse. I didn't expect it but Maya looked straight up at me and I stared back I felt another moment building between us. I could see how sad she looked and i felt the exact same way. I desperately wanted to tell her how beautiful she looked but I just looked away with embarrassment.

The whole night went as slow as it could. I spent the whole time looking over at Maya to see what she was doing, I don't know why I was, but I couldn't help it; that day had done something to me. I looked over and I told myself that this was going to be the last time, I looked at how her eyes were so engrossed in the film that she couldn't see anything around her and it made.me want ti stare even more. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Farkle staring at me I turned to hin , his face looked screwed up and he lipped to me

"Stop it!" that's when I knew that Farkle knew that something had happened. I didn't want to admit to myself but I think I liked Maya Clutterbucket.
